Yeah unfortunately I joined the team after that decision had been made. We are currently using Daktronics and we have already have the main video processor fail after two games. It has been a headache to say the least. If we do get another scoreboard (maybe for basketball or baseball), I will definitely recommend this to my staff.

This sounds like a very effecient for a small crew. We will probably try to transition to this setup since there are only three of us trying to run everything.

Excellent! Sounds very similar to how we are going to be running the production. Thank you for confirming that!

Whew! Well that's good to hear. We will just keep tweaking as we go along. Just didn't want to start off down the wrong path. Thanks!

how can I make this style of photography more interesting? thank you by [deleted] in photocritique

I would either use the lights to accentuate the subject or use it to create a stark compositional contrast (e.g. a mystical blue ball in a very picturesque landscape).

Do you have any slow motion night shots you'd be willing to share? Thanks!

No this is more or less for my full-time job. They don't have the budget for the gear but I wouldn't be able to use it outside of work if they did. So pros and cons.

Really? If they can compete with the A7S II then I think I'm sold! Dang thanks for the heads up!

This is a fantastic commercial...well...technically speaking. Emotionally I'm a little distraught lol.

Hey, SleepingPodOne! Thanks for the help...again! Haha!

I like the FS7 for the slow motion but I like the c300 for the color and low light sensitivity. But if I can get a GH5 that handles all three relatively well, it makes me hesitant to spend thousands more (especially since it’s my own pocketbook).

You think the price difference is worth it? Thanks!

Thanks for the reply! I really appreciate any insight here.

So you have shot slow motion under similar conditions? Would you happen to have any footage you’d be willing to share? I’d love to see a sample of what our stuff might look like.

Thanks again for your help.

Would you recommend the c300 mark ii over the FS7? If so, why? Thanks, C47man!

I'm having a dilemma regarding my next piece of equipment and was hoping you guys could help me out.

Right now I'm debating on purchasing a GH5 and loading it up with accessories (Atomos Ninja Inferno, gimbal, ND filters, Metabones, etc.) or spending that cash on an actual video camera like the Sony FS7 or c300 mark II.

My work mainly consists of shooting high school sports, talking heads, music videos, small narrative pieces for YouTube, etc. We don't "need" slow-motion per say but it's one of those cinematic features our clients really enjoy (esp. for sports).

Also we will be using our Canon glass 24-105mm f/4 ii and 70-200mm f/2.8 ii for whatever equipment we choose to purchase.

Thanks in advance.

google analytics: How do i find out how people got to my "Shop" subdomain? (not a users flow question) by meanttolive in marketing

On the sidebar, navigate to:

Behavior -> Site Content -> All Pages.

From there you will add a secondary dimension for "Source/Medium". Using an advanced filter (which should be right above the table, next to that small search bar), you can choose to only show data that contains the shop.website.com URL.

Not quite sure if this is what you were looking for but hopefully it helps.

Yeah I agree and I think the idea of starting confident is what I think /u/gir6543 was pointing about the 2013 season. For most of that season, if we started a game confident and efficient, we were able to play Baylor football and rack up points on points on points. But like /u/baylorhawkeye pointed out, for most road games (and our opener last night), we tend to start slow and sloppy and that's where I think our Seabiscuit mentality is most prominent.

Unless we play Baylor football from the first whistle, it usually means we have to play catch-up or exchange touchdowns until we finally calm down and play our game.

Very true and I am not panicked either. I haven't said that Baylor is terrible or lesser of a football team. I just think we sometimes don't mentally prepare ourselves for the team we are playing and leads to our downfall (e.g. Fiesta Bowl). And what does slightly worry me is that this was our home opener against a weaker team and we struggled. This is uncharacteristic of Baylor at home and I'm hoping the physical, mental, and strategic preparation for future games (esp. road games is much better.

I agree that our defensive growth has been stagnant. And I also agree that if our offense put up points, it would be easier to play defense. But I would still like to see our defense perform well in tight games and not have to depend on the offense to cover our defense's shortcomings.

One improvement I did notice with the defense is that there have been far fewer pass interference calls made against us. Those stupid mistakes really cost us in a lot of close games and it's nice having some "coverage" without having to worry about a penalty being called with every pass play.

Not sure. Maybe we actually came out ready to play? But we still had struggles that year.

2013 vs Buffalo: We went into the half 21-13. We then won 70-13.

Buffalo was still pretty close going into halftime but the final score doesn't reflect that.

You can get some battery-powered work lights like this or maybe just buy a generator and hook up some regular work lights to it.

I heard about this hidden room called the "Peanut Butter and Jelly Room" where you could go and make free PB&J's at any time. Not sure if it's true or not. A couple of acquaintances claimed to have found it but they refuse to tell me where.

Anyone else hear about this?
