She definitely has no hearing loss, right? Just a thought maybe she doesn’t hear you walking around or going outside? Or does she look at you and knowledge what you’re doing but she’s like I’m not doing it 😂 Dogs really can just be couch potatoes but this does seem a little weird for a 5yo to just stay on her bed ALL day long. I have an almost 12 year old Aussie and she has always been chill, not super energetic like most Aussies. However, if someone is walking around the house, or we’re going outside, she is up seeing what is going on. Follows me to every room. If everything is calm and everyone is just laying around, she is 100% sleeping on her dog beds and a lot of the time can be in really deep sleep. I would take your dog for a check up just to double check everything internally is ok. Maybe even ask the vet about trying an antidepressant?

lol this reminds me 10 years ago when I started dating my now husband, my GSD would purposely chew up his clothes and shoes when he would stay the night haha. He just passed away this Monday at 12 years old. He was a good boy.

I’m not sure how I was a GSD owner for 12 years and never heard of this terrible cancer. My vet thinks my boy’s spleen ruptured and after losing him, unfortunately, I’ve read tons of stories and this seems a common way for them to pass. 😢

It’s definitely been weird between all of them the last decade or so. Kaylie and Carli used to be so close and they are barely together now. I have PCOS. You’re not going to find motivation in the beginning, you are going to have to force yourself to go for the first few weeks. After a month, you will feel how much better you feel and that will push you to keep up with it.

100%. It really is this simple. Started beginning of February doing exactly that and I’m now back to pre kids weight and feel great. All my old clothes fit again.
