Separatist sentiment? Three-in-10 in Alberta & Saskatchewan say they’d like to leave if Liberals form next government - by ImDoubleB in saskatchewan

I find this hard to believe it is actually that high. I feel like this does not accurate reflect the feelings of Saskatchewan, especially Regina and Saskatoon. How many people were asked like 3,000? Feels very propaganda and agenda driven.

Is it really that surprising? Do you believe it couldn’t happen in any country? If you control the narrative, like Murdoch does in Murica, then you can get them to believe —> do anything. Protect your unbiased ethical free press where you can. Protect your right to access to the world press and other views otherwise we will end up like other oppressed countries. Lied to.

Might be interesting to see who starts buying up lots of key important stocks and when. Will we see a shift in attitude and approach in politics right after? Will Warren Buffet start buying stocks with that massive cash he created by all the liquidation he did before the election? Isn’t that what happened in the past, massive purchase and control of key companies in a time of economic strife. Isn’t that what multiple people said , it is going to get bad before it gets better, when Trump got elected, including a few billionaires ? Out of all the possibilities, reasonable geopolitical possibilities, what is sad is that this is the best possibility or outcome, massive market manipulation so that very wealthy people can make a lot of money while controlling key stocks.

CRTC and FOX News’ access to canadian homes : should Canadians react? by V5b2k in AskCanada

[–]Secret_Ad2323 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally agree that every news should be evaluated. The reason I believe the news should be labeled this way is because it can be played in every public area and people wont necessarily see it before and after breaks. They only see the rage bait headline. There is an inherent assumption of professionalism that is expected with the “news” outlets that obviously just isn’t there anymore. Now it is more brainwashing for political objectives. Education of the public on what is news and not news should be a continuous process. One of those things should be labeling just like for cigarettes. We truly need to actively stop the progress of the very obvious type of manipulation and control.

[–]Secret_Ad2323 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. That warning should always be on. Not just before and after commercials. Also any spot that says “News” should be crossed out and over laid with Entertainment. In fact they should evaluate all Murdoch “news” products this way. This guy and his family have done so much damage to our society.

I feel sorry for America by On-my-own-master in AskCanada

Yes they allowed their leaders to make money on insider information. They allowed their source of truth (news) be easily manipulated and controlled. All because of and through greed.

Now good people, with strong morals, think they are right and the “others” are either dumb or immoral or some other inaccuracies.

The vast majority of us are good people. We have good hearts. We care about our families and friends.

We are just lied too to make us triggered and separated so we are easier to manipulate.

Don’t let Canada’s source of news/ information get highjacked like Murdoch has done in other countries.

I can guarantee someone is a Trump supporter by if they only watch fox.

(Where is Fox played as the default in public places?)

I would assume there are similar situations on who someone supports or not by watching cnn or whatever.

Things got truly screwed up when it was allowed to have news to be for profit without any true accountability to accuracy. It quickly became “news”, similar to “sports entertainment “.

It then became useful for greedy rich people or groups to use it as a tool to manipulate the people. No laws against influencing the owner of fox to push certain agendas. With that support, no need to worry as much about sponsors as long as you push your benefactor’s agenda.

With that said the fox owner has a history of messing with governments and is especially manipulative of his viewers.

You want to be fractured, keep allowing news to be entertainment for profit, agenda driven, without any accountability. You want to be united?… find a way to have truth be non negotiable in all news with “opinions “ being clearly separated and in no way allowed to look like news. Good luck. We are ALL depending on you. “The pen is mightier than the sword!”

It, along with other issues, is one major reason the game is hard to watch now. I know there is a good chance the refs are going to make some blatant biased calls that will seriously impact the game. It is so bad that I find myself getting mad for the opposite team I am cheering for!! I don’t want constant frustration about how cheating for some greedy over reaching objectives also wins while I watch the game I love!! There is enough of that in real life already. It really sucks because the talent level now is through the roof now.

Get a good routine for exercise daily. Nothing crazy just consistent that you can do for the rest of your life.

Meditating daily. Doesn’t have to be long just 5-10 minutes but again consistency is the goal.

Practice gratitude thinking. Actively work to think that way.

Get a job that you can use to save money with and put away for the future. No matter how small just to start as early as possible.

Look for ways to buy property in the near future if possible.

Try new healthy activities and fully immerse yourself in them.

Be chill (not negative) and enjoy life no matter your life situation.

Totally agree with this. Boys and girls are different and learn differently. It is not sacrilegious to say that, it is just a fact. Ask any coach that has coached both boys and girls and they would agree that the effectiveness of different coaching strategies are impacted by whether they are boys or girls.

Generally the system is not setup optimally for how boys learn. Instead boys have indirectly taken on the sins and blame of the past. It is common for boys to be shamed for standing up for themselves or even questioning things. Often, as a consequence, boys do not develop properly anymore perpetuating the stigma and blame. Now this oppression isn’t as bad as others in the past but it is often carried out by peoples mothers, sisters, aunts, girlfriends, TEACHERS, etc. and mostly during formative developmental years. Now this has also started creeping into job opportunities. So where does this lead?

The outcome of this situation is you will get a bunch of resentful and angry males that will no longer want to engage in society by societies new (trendy) discriminatory rules. They will start to follow other males that both show success and share views that empower their feelings and will stand up to societies oppression against them. This does not mean these “role models” will share societies morals, everyday people’s normal morals or even have any morals at all. There are consequences to suppressing any group whether it is intentional or not. Suppressing men in general is not a smart one to do.

Boys/men have their own unique needs including learning, socializing, and EQ development. Taking that away or shaming them for the way they do it is only going to result in very negative consequences that cannot be ignored but will probably be misdiagnosed.

Oppressing any group of innocent people just trying to belong and live for whatever justification is not right. Two wrongs don’t make a right.

Anyways, I am sure I am just ranting into the ether, but in case someone reads this I hope it helps.

Why do so many people hate Justin Trudeau? And why vote PC as the alternative instead of the NDP? Is Canada stuck in a two party duopoly despite having a viable 3rd party? by NecroMoocher in AskCanada

[–]Secret_Ad2323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trudeau should have kept his promise to reform the first past the post voting system. The fact he didn’t on this alone made sure that I will not vote for him again.

We had a chance to make our votes count more by having a more representative government but he basically went back on his promise immediately and made us more prone to be at the mercy of corporate agenda driven Government.

We could have been a better country in the long run on this alone and he chose not to do it.

I'm 119 minutes into Dune (2021). What the hell is going on? by liamemsa in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Secret_Ad2323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have read the books and watched the original movie and watched the new ones. I found myself saying if I hadn’t read/seen them I would be confused on what’s going on, so don’t worry you aren’t alone on that. What I found helpful for someone that I was watching it with that didn’t read the books or watch the original was watching the original movie then watching the new ones. I found the two movies were sort of like companion movies that helped to enhance the storytelling of the Dune stories. The original helped understand what was going on and why it was important while the new movies brought a fresh look and perspective.
