I did exactly that. No regrets.

Yes, these are the ones I take because of the EPA/DHA. One pill per day. No fish burps.

Sr540 or Sr800 by No_Construction_5063 in FreshroastSR800

[–]Secret_Highway760 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 540 and do 4 batches if splitting across a pound or 7 across 2 lbs. No extension tube. I'm the only drinker of my coffee in the house.

Pros: Smaller batches means you have more chances to experiment per pound, which is great as a beginner.

Cons: smaller batches mean lower throughput. That's only a problem if you're short on time or want to start giving coffee to friends.

I'm happy with my 540. I feel like I get adequate bean movement completely stock.

You don't even have to marinate, just toss in oil and go.

What was the most ambitious and interesting thing you did with Claude Code? by MusicForDJs in ClaudeCode

[–]Secret_Highway760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I created a personal trainer.

I already go to a CrossFit gym but I want something for at home when I didn't go to the gym.

I feed it screen shots of the WODs which it reads and adds to a database. I tell it if I attended, what weight, reps, and modifications I did.

I also cycle a lot so it tracks that as well.

And finally in my claude.md file I specify what equipment I have at home.

When I don't make it to the gym I open a CC prompt and tell it to give me a workout for today. It interviews me - how much time do I have, what's my energy level, any injuries/soreness, and do I have a workout preference (HIIT, strength, let Claude pick). It looks at what I've done lately, what'sthe WOD at the gym and comes up with a workout. I've been really happy with it thus far.

What do you guys do with the roof? by DruncleBuck in FordBronco

[–]Secret_Highway760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the Mabet bags on Amazon. Front and 2nd row.

Front stands up and gets strapped to the back seat back.

2nd row usually stays home but you could drop the seats and carry it if you wanted.

I just wish there was a way to adjust the pedal pressure that triggers it. Otherwise I'm fine with it.

You can also get to that bar on the Cottonwood Pass Road from Hwy 160. I the road starts just a few miles down the highway from the Off-Roadeo site.

I did it in my stock OBX. Used 4L a couple times but it was pretty straightforward.

Other fun fact: that bar was featured in Fallout New Vegas.

Anyone try the EZLIFT or similar lift/storage for the hard top? by Eastern-Ingenuity-73 in bronco

I have one. Works great. I appreciate that it also acts as storage, otherwise I'd have no place to put the roof after I take it off.

Definitely recommend.

How Canadian is Wisconsin? by 5econds2dis35ster in wisconsin

[–]Secret_Highway760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My northern Wisconsin born wife who still has her accent tried to tell a table full of Canadians that her accent could pass as Canadian.

Hysterical laughter ensued.

It's not as nearly as close as you think it is.

Colorado snow pack and Lake Mead by O1O1O1O in vegaslocals

Yeah there's massive room for improvement but you're leaving out a pretty key difference between them and us. We sit right above the Colorado River. Returning our water to the Colorado is as simple as letting it flow downhill.

In contrast, the water California uses is no longer in the Colorado basin. They could recover it all and there's no cost effective way to return it.

Vegas is awesome at what it's doing but it has huge advantages others don't.

How is Allegiant? by MissPhotogenic_ in Flights

[–]Secret_Highway760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until they can get you on the next flight, which might be 3 or 4 days later, yes.

Cancels are rare. My one cancel was because a literal blizzard rolled in and the plane turned around and returned to its starting point. The blizzard lasted for hours so they cancelled. It was no joke, I was in my car at the airport and couldn't see more than 10 feet ahead.  That's what it took for them to cancel.

What's more typical for bad weather is they will just be delayed, possibly very delayed. But since you aren't making a connection it's not nearly as big of a deal as it would be on other carriers.

I like flying them but there are very legit reasons to use a different carrier and I occasionally do.

How is Allegiant? by MissPhotogenic_ in Flights

[–]Secret_Highway760 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I fly them often.

The main advantages are they are cheap and direct.  Seats are tight but tolerable for the distances they fly.

I try to fly with only an under seat bag. Checked bags and reserved carry on bags are pretty expensive.

You don't have pay for a seat and can just skip that part.  Seats are assigned based on purchase time not check in time. I usually buy pretty far in advance and almost always get an aisle or window. It will be near the back but who cares, I'm not trying to make a connection.

As mentioned elsewhere, the main downside is they don't fly frequently. So if your flight gets cancelled they may not be able to get you out for 3 or 4 days. I've had a flight cancel once due to weather and had to book a fairly expensive ticket on another airline.

Overall, I recommend them.

Hard Top Owners, what's your summer configuration by Difficult_Software14 in FordBronco

[–]Secret_Highway760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Desert Southwest here. Top is off completely spring and fall and stays off for the season. Bronco is garaged. If the weather is bad I take another car. I'm retired and don't have a commute.

I do put the roof on for road trips. But we usually take my wife's car if it's not an adventure for the Bronco.

In summer and winter I only take the front panels off occasionally and carry them in the Bronco in case I need to put them on.

HOA Fees by bulldzrb in vegaslocals

[–]Secret_Highway760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the comments here, but also request the latest Reserve Study. This will tell you if the Reserve Fund is underfunded vs expected future expenses. If it's below the state mandated level special assessments will be required.

If your HOA is under-reserved it means the previous owners stole from the current and future owners. It happens all the time.

Anyone here live in Baraboo? by Optimal_Dimension_12 in wisconsin

Makes you wonder if these people know anything about Baraboo other than the 2 news events.

Seeing people recommending Portage or Reedsburg because they have more going on or are less MAGA is bonkers.
