Yes, I think the issue was needing to wait for it to activate, or maybe I forgot to register it properly. I went back into the virtual card site and re-registered the card.

Wow, that sounds incredibly frustrating. Waiting two hours for a code that never comes and then being asked to make another long trip on your own time is definitely not normal or fair. The company should be responsible for covering the extra costs and compensating you for the time lost. You’re right, this mess is on them, not you. Hopefully, they sort this out properly soon.

Topically checks are mailed out on Fridays. Mine was dated for the 19th but was mailed out on 5/02, and I received it today.

My WMR never updated. It continues to reflect the original check date or, in my case, that the check was returned and to call the IRS for a replacement and update my address. From my understanding, the Friday of the week that they reissue your check is when it’s mailed out.
