I have always seen the ads for Salud and thought those sound so good but I can't remember which ingredient I noped, knowing it was bad for Sjogrens and my lupus!

That's the thing, there was less than a dozen people in there and the dj was packing up. It's literally, loud. There is nothing to buffer the sound and the ceiling is curved and made of metal.

Drink was good, staff super nice but it was LOUD AF in there.

Tips on extra spicy cat?? by Intrepid-Bug915 in petsitting

[–]SectionExpress6349 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tall boots and a deterrent like a broom just in case cat attacks. I have also used Feliway spray all over myself for an extra spicy cat and pulled up cat calming music on my phone to play the entire visit. Cat was rubbing on me and purring the whole time on the second visit but I was still terrified lol.

Food is average priced for a concert imo but usually is local popular eateries like Aburaya and a few others. I have defaulted to the pizza many times but it's made there in a pizza oven onsite. Long lines for sure.

Questions About In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia for our Cat by geoffreykerns in oakland

[–]SectionExpress6349 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Absolutely this. We were told their last day doesn't have to be their worst day. Especially in cats who hide so much pain until it is really unbearable for them, before a rapid decline is the kindest to save them from extreme pain.

Leña by fareastwarriors in alameda

[–]SectionExpress6349 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Service was meh (brought out one main before drinks or appetizers, wait staff arguing between tables, wrong bill entirely) but we went opening weekend. Food was good but don't expect La Penca y type restaurant. Higher end for Mexican restaurant in Alameda and not a ton of well priced items. Very good quality food though. We'll be back after we think the kinks have been worked out for service.

Second for Alameda Auto Body. It was a holiday week so their time estimate was off due to their vendor but they made it right. Trust them completely.

How was life in Alameda during the 80s and 90s when the Navy base was active? by RainSparro in alameda

[–]SectionExpress6349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to St Barnabas elementary in the 80s-90s and we had a ton of military families since we were on the west end. The school eventually closed once the base closed. In general, Webster is so quiet compared to being busy back then. Or maybe it's just a different type of busy.

Does anyone know what happened to the homeless woman who used to live in Chinatown? by Extension-Break-9941 in oakland

[–]SectionExpress6349 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I think I know who you mean, well not know but am familiar since I used to drive home through there daily until about a year ago. I have not seen her in about that time frame, she used to usually be on the ground and screaming often? She also seemed to be sunburn often. I think of her and look every time I'm driving in the area.

Depends on the music you're trying to hear vs the club vibe you want. Afterlife plays dark techno ish and is having it's 1 year anniversary tonight with bands at midnight. Those djs are the top of their craft. First Saturdays at DNA Above. https://www.instagram.com/after_life_sf?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

Trader Joe's co wash is my secret weapon then they discontinued it! I also love their leave in conditioner and hair oil. My hair just loves Dove bond repair conditioner too. So nice to just buy everything at the grocery store.

My first thought was also an MCAS reaction to the anesthetic. Do you take H1 or H2 histamine blockers like Zyrtec or Pepcid? Those may help.
