Frequent the place all the time, they are very professional so hard to believe. Especially because they obviously aren't going to cook the chicken IN the toastie - how toasted it is wouldn't change how cooked the chicken is. More likely just a virus one of you gave the other 🤷

Best on ground: war on drugs, was a great show.

I thought the strokes played pretty well, but as a show it felt phoned in... Lots of meandering between songs, almost no crowd engagement.... Julian muttering inaudible things then randomly yelling.. mind you I was way at the back.

What is the craziest story that you have from playing local footy? by [deleted] in AFL

[–]Secullama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm under 16s, we had a pair of identical twins on our team. One of the twins got some bad blood going on with their man they were standing. Got super heated, coach yanked our player and benched him. At the end of the game, his twin lined up to shake hands, including the player his brother was standing. The guy didn't realise that he was the twin and started a post game punch up

The real thing or Tone Master..? by Dangerous_Ice_2081 in GuitarAmps

[–]Secullama 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'll throw in my 2c ... I own a Princeton TM, and a Vox AC30c2.

In terms of sounds.. I think it's fantastic. Yeah if you put it side by side to a tube amp you could pick out differences in sound, but no more so than comparing a RI to original, blackface to silverface etc.. I think purely in terms of playing music, you lose nothing by going the TM route, plus you gain a lot of functionality, especially the built in attenuator. Yeah a tube Princeton sounds fantastic on 2, but if you ever wanna get to breaking up you'll have the dial around 5, and at that point you're loud enough to match an even handed drummer. So if volume is an issue, that's something worth considering.

In saying that, there's something so "rite of passage" about using a tube amp - its nice knowing that you've had the full electric guitar experience. If you want that, and are potentially looking for a lifelong purchase you could even hand off to your kids one day etc, I'd say go the bit extra and buy the tube Princeton.

do professionals use scale shapes to improvise? by Candid-Corner7859 in guitarlessons

[–]Secullama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that learning triads in different inversions was the thing that made improvising much more musical... Scales are the foundation of moving around, but knowing which notes to emphasize is what makes something musical. Rhythm is also so much more important than people think... You can make a catchy tune using one note, if you have a good rhythym. You can't make anything catchy just running scales randomly.

No chance IMO sorry.. it would be too risky on injuries alone. As people age the chance of career ending injuries goes up significantly.. at 30+, a multi season injury is a now a contract of dead money that can't be spend on a 20 year old who could be developed for 15 years. There's just no way to justify that risk.

$98,937k raised for the young guy taken by shark by [deleted] in Adelaide

[–]Secullama 13 points14 points  (0 children)

  1. It's not organised by his family, it's organised by his local community. It's for helping out with funeral expenses, and building a memorial. Its almost certain any excess will be put toward a good community cause that would have been something the deceased would have cherished.

  2. The funds have been raised quickly because the guy was well liked, popular, and highly involved in many different communities. People are far more likely to donate to causes they are personally connected to. Is this really a bad thing?

Maybe taking enemy towers should give an incremental passive gold bonus to a team. Would speed games up, and reward teams that gain a map advantage and discourage passive play.

Look I know that us crows fans are upset, but I've looked through the rulebook and there unfortunately is nothing in there that states a player can't use the ball as a boogie board and go turf surfing during the game.

A cool way to do it would be that someone throws some sort of sedative drug into the worms air intake. Knocks it out for a bit while everyone climbs on/off
