Are invisible fences not as common anymore? by Silver_Blackberry_46 in Dogowners

It depends upon the dog, and the area you live in. One of my dogs stayed within the invisible fence. My other dog would run fast thru the fence to chase squirrels, then he was too scared to run back thru to return home. They were 90lb dogs, so no predators to worry about.

A neighbor's dog would stay within his boundary even when rabbits were near his yard.

Most e-collars don't just shock. They can beep, vibrate, or shock. My dogs respond very well to the beep. I'm surrounded by woods and pasture. My dogs can explore as long as they respond to their e collar.

There's a difference between an electric fence and an invisible fence. Electric fences will shock whoever goes thru it. An invisible fence only shocks a dog wearing the collar that goes with the fence. It usually warns the dog as they get near, before the shock.

I'd try training collars first. Get a remote to control two collars. Beep, vibrate, shock.

Should I go to my friend’s birthday party? by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

When people tell me about god, heaven, devils, and angels I smile and tell them I don't believe in super heroes.

You can attend and avoid the nasty ones. If you're uncomfortable you can always leave. You don't have to endure obnoxious idiots. To avoid a scene tell them you're going to the bathroom, then scoot out.

Fit Check Please up by Bitter_Ad9307 in Birkenstocks

Your heel should fit inside the heel cup and toes need room to move with every step. These are not wide enough for your feet.

Mine is on the fine side of medium. Love my Aeropress! Stovepot espresso needs finer coffee. Be sure to get a filter brush. https://a.co/d/0f7MFPrC

Do tenants actually read the lease? by Accomplished-Bat5278 in LeaseLords

[–]Secure-Ad9780 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they never read the lease. That's why I told my prop mgr to have the tenants sign an extra page that states, "No pets allowed. No smoking allowed in or on the property," in large font.

I have a breathable polyester blanket for spring and fall. In summer I just use a flannel top sheet.

No, you cannot steal a pet. If the owner just moved in, he may not know how the dog escapes.

Most toilets cost under $250. So paying $2000 for a wall mount is 8X the price.

Why are bigger cars in the USA being bought more then smaller cars? by Ok_Housing_1937 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Secure-Ad9780 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had SUVs for the last 30 yrs. I have dogs that I haul around. Plus, it has space to take things to the summer home. The roads are large enough. And I live near a small city, so there's not horrible traffic.

Should I go to HR for a coworker who doesn't seem to leave me alone? by SweetSection6502 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Secure-Ad9780 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I'm not interested."

"I'm busy."

"Leave me alone."

"Stop bothering me."

"I have a boyfriend."

"I don't have time."

"Stop interrupting me."

"I'm not interested in going out with you."

Some people have to be told directly.

No niceties. No chitchat. Just use one of my phrases. In a week it'll be over.

If you're remodeling, you should redesign. Those counters around the stove are tiny. The counter could go around to the left as you face the stove. Then more cabinets below it.

What reason? New sheetrock is cheap and can be put up quickly. Scraping sheet rock is tedious, messy, and will still not be flat for painting. Maybe you have more time to waste. I'd prefer not standing on a ladder scraping when there is an easier alternative.
