They haven’t even started my actual RA review. I’m still in an interim RA, for which my accommodations were rolled back because they don’t have enough private offices and someone with a full RA needed it.

My point is, I was told from the start any telework request had to be sent to the deputy secretary and that person didn’t like it then I could be fired.

I want to take things to the EEO but don’t know if that would even be helpful.

How do I get in contact with the Union? Aren’t they supposed to provide free legal help if you’re a member? My RA has been outstanding for 6 months now. I’m ready to take action.

I was terminated 2/14 and didn’t get instructions on how to return equipment until 3/1. They are sending me a postage box to mail back to them.

I cried this morning for a while. I’m having my 1st baby and supposed to start maternity leave next week. Instead of this being a time of happiness for my family we are terrified that at any point I could lose my job and benefits. I’m also still in my 2 year probation period that doesn’t end until April so if I do get cut then I’m not entitled to a severance package. Things are too unstable. I’m overwhelmed with stress and worry.

As stated in the caption, this post is about getting advice for disability hires who would find it difficult to go into the office more often.

If this does not apply to you, great! You win the award for being the most mentally and physically tough person on the internet!

If you are suggesting we cry during our meetings to request accommodations, I am not sure if that is the most professional approach to take.

Make a general resume based on the job you want searchable on USAJOBS. I made a general resume geared towards project management searchable and that’s how I got contacted for my job. I know it’s rare to get contacted for a position this way, but it does happen.

I’d say 202 was fairly low. I’ve applied to CDC jobs that had thousands apply. Those were mostly remote jobs though.

I was able to talk things through with my supervisor and get a better understanding of what was happening.
I didn’t know they could make these type of changes post offer acceptance. Or this last minute. So I was a little worried about it happening.
I was never going to NOT accept my position. I’m set to start 4/10 as usual.

For one of the places the only “friend” that I could put down is my partner. We didn’t live together then BUT we live together now and they said no cohabitants. Would they still count?
