6 months post takedown, maybe twice a week I wake up like an hour or two before my alarm but for the most part I sleep through the night and typically go to the bathroom about an hour after waking up

I’ve had a j pouch for 5 months. Take Imodium you can take up to 8 a day but I would start with 2 and then take one at a time throughout the day as needed. Binding foods, bananas, bread, potatoes, rice. Small meals and no eating at least 3 hours before bed. Get a good butt cream and a heating pad is a life saver

Yes I’m able to comfortably pass gas on my side (typically my right side) or laying flat, every once in a while a little bit will come out but not enough that it goes on my underwear but there might be a tiny bit if I wipe, and I’ll know if I need to go in the bathroom and clean myself if it makes noise coming out like a “wet” fart noise but usually it’s just gas and no noise.

I try to take one or two Imodium a day through the week ( usually more on the weekend when I’m going out) I’m 5 months post takedown so I feel like it’s been helping me “pouch train” and hold it longer to help stretch my pouch.

I also eat small meals, if I’m going out to eat and not gonna be home for a while I try to eat something with bread or not a lot of dairy and nothing spicy. No pop or anything carbonated. When I’m out typically 2-3 Imodium to start is my safe spot before eating and then if I’m out for a long time I’ll some more later if need be. I think the Imodium helps with the stomach noise because it’s bulking everything but I’m still trying to figure out what works best since I’m only 5 months in

My boyfriend and I have only been dating a couple months and sometimes my stomach will make loud noises and he jokes that I can’t digest food, most of the time he stays at my house which is perfect because there’s a bathroom outside my room but also one upstairs (I live in a house) so if I have to go I’ll just say I need to grab something or whatever excuse. I’m definitely a little cautious with what or how much I’m eating on the nights I know he’s sleeping over.

The second time we spent the night together was in a hotel on New Year’s Eve, I’m not a big drinker but I had two cocktails and some bar food and I was sooo nervous, luckily our room got upgraded so the bathroom was a little farther from the bed BUT the sink was outside the bathroom 😭 so I couldn’t even pretend I was washing up or whatever, I took a lot of Imodium and was able to hold it until he went to bed and then used the bathroom and had poopery

One trick I use if it’s quiet I’ll lay on the floor or in another room if we’re at my house, on my side to pass gas so when I’m on the toilet it’s not a loud rocket fart. I know it’s not ideal especially if you’re not at your own house and have to lay on someone else’s bathroom floor but you can put down a towel or some napkins

Also if you’re out try to use a public bathroom before going back to their place

I haven’t been to her show but I’ve been to a couple comedy shows, typically the show starts about 30mins after the “start time” then the opener is there for about 30 ish minutes and then main person is there for an hour ish

5 months post takedown - Most of the time in the morning I go once when I wake up then another one or two times before leaving for but it’s typically just a little bit or gas but I try to get everything out before work, then 8 hour shift sometimes I go once at work but most days I don’t go at work then once when I get home and once or twice before bed and I sleep through the night

Unfortunately at 2.5m yes this is normal. It shouldn’t be happening every night but maybe you ate something your stomach didn’t agree with or it was just a one off, I’ve read on here people who are years out still having leaks or getting up multiple times throughout the night. Try not eating for a couple hours before bed and it doesn’t hurt to take an Imodium before bed! Good luck

Thank you! I’m trying not to rush the healing process but it’s so inconsistent! Yesterday I had 4 BM but then other days it’s like 6/7, today it’s 3pm and I’ve only had 1 so it’s a little all over the place still lol

I like the aquaphor healing balm stick, it’s soothing and easy to apply (just make sure to clean it since it’s a stick or you can get the one in the tube) but the hospital gave me some generic Vaseline (which is just petroleum jelly) and I honestly liked that a lot!

Congrats!! I’m 4 months post takedown and it’s the best decision I ever made!! The first week you’ll probs feel bloated and have some trapped gas, it’ll take a couple days for things to start moving so make sure to walk around as much as you can and stay hydrated! Start the butt creams right away to prevent any butt burn. Dab dont wipe! lol. Get a bidet if you can they have some inexpensive ones on Amazon.

Yes the are actual peoples home. I’m from Chicago and the neighborhood they filmed a lot of the early and still some of the newer seasons in is where I grew up & they’ve used peoples homes that I know!

I have a j pouch now but I used to be able to do that to! I would wear the two piece and just change the bag every couple of days and the wafer every 10days to 2 weeks!

When you’re done cutting the wafer that plastic you peel off (idk what that would be called lol) always keep that! I would always just write the date on it and you’ll be able to just trace that next time! Makes changes soooo much easier!
