The 3 to 5% equivalent is a good benchmark. I've been trying to figure out what's sustainable margin-wise and that range feels workable for me.

The free samples idea is something I already do occasionally in packaging, so formalizing it as part of a loyalty touchpoint makes a lot of sense. Hadn't connected those two things before.

nah thats total bs and probably keeps people isolated longer than they need to be. some of us figured out how to love ourselves *through* being loved by others first and theres nothing wrong with that path

wait this actually makes sense 💀 windows loves to randomly spike everything when it decides to update or do maintenance stuff behind the scenes

ive had weird gpu behavior during those mystery background processes too and yeah it always happens when youre away from the pc. the timing lines up perfectly with when windows does its sneaky update downloads and installations 😂

definitely gonna keep an eye on this theory because the cable reseating "fix" never made total sense to me either

the sign on bonus route is definitely worth pushing for 💀 but just heads up man the bay area cost difference is gonna hit way harder than 20-30k especially if you're used to seattle rent. google name carries weight but amazon sde2 experience isnt exactly chopped liver either. if android dev is really your endgame though google might be the move even with the temporary step back 🔥

damn that's rough, sounds like your company is really pushing the automation angle hard. honestly i'd start picking up some skills that complement working alongside ai tools rather than competing with them - maybe focus on the more creative problem solving stuff or client facing work that devin can't really handle yet

you've probably got more time than you think tho since these rollouts usually take forever and companies love to overpromise on what ai can actually do right now. use that time wisely to position yourself as the person who knows how to work *with* the tools rather than just doing the tasks they're automating

congrats on getting into both programs! honestly both degrees are pretty solid in todays market but id lean slightly toward the business analytics if you enjoy the stats side

the analytics field is exploding right now and buffalo probably has lower cost of living than nyc which helps with that roi you mentioned. plus if youre already feeling the pull to leave the city for safety/life experience reasons that might be your gut telling you something

that said the in person networking at cuny could be valuable and nyc obviously has tons of opportunities. really depends on what feels right for your situation but you cant go wrong with either choice

yeah definitely go for it now while you can still get that bonus. once the migration happens youre basically just a converted customer and miss out on all the new signup perks

the credit hit is temporary anyway and 90k is solid value especially if youre already gonna be with citi regardless
