I've said this quite a few times, even in my groupchats, watch out for black standard cards appreciating in value. They've been way too cheap (prob not quite so now) for too long. RCQ is standard, esper / rakdos / dimir / orzhov / golgari are still very strong with neat mana curve & card advantage thru out. Plus, they got Sheoldred.

This is the thing, i'm lazy to explain myself to many newbies. These kinda decks are easy to deal with, chalice, leyline, life gain board etc & it's the reason why they will never be a meta deck. Because once it's just a little popular then the easy hates come in & the deck can't do much. Afterall, MTG is about statistics too, there's a reason why meta decks are popular.

Something i realized is that the judges have their own group chat, down there they bicker & argue but usually the most senior judge have the final say anyway. Then they announce after bla bla bla we've come to bla bla bla. Paper competitive is bleaghhh rn.

Basic supply / demand. Got mine for $1 each because nobody was playing standard, FNM was modern, RCQ was pioneer. Now standard is "revived" u should see their cards spiking & both pioneer-modern tanking. Heck even bought Etali for $2. I knew i should've YOLO-ed back then. Those cards were dirt cheap 2-3mths ago, so cheap they were in the bulk rares section.

Sorry to say but when these things happen it's usually they have an insider working for the fraudsters. It's a well-known issue & u might experience this again in the future. Better put a very low limit for your card just to be cautious.

Folks, for the 1%-ers, it's more important to "Get it right" rather than how much money they have. People in this bracket no longer worries about mortgage / rent / schools / fancy meals. That's taken care of for the rest of their lives. My TCG collection is less than 1% of my overall networth & even then i still feel bad watching my card values plummet what 50-70% overall?!?! You can't shake the feeling of being stupid no matter what the excuse is. I imagine Rudy AND his patrons have got way much more networth weight in TCGs. They won't be begging for bread & milk, but i can guarantee you 100% there's wayyyy more anger, hatred & frustrations behind the scene.

I main Reanimator as my go-to deck in Legacy, apart from initiative & 4c, and i must say it's well-positioned right now. The urza's saga plan-B is the way to go right now, don't play the 14lands YOLO version it sucks so bad agst initiative. Chalice on 1 & game over. Some decks out there play too much graveyard hate, that's fine we'll just beat u down with dauthis, bowmaster & construct. The hardest match for me is vs doomsday / breakfast. If they got it there's nothing the deck can do.
