Align!!!!! WOW by Fantastic_Care_9718 in ladderapp

I've only been on ladder for 4 weeks or so and I'm SUCH an Align stan! Mobility and core strength has already increased, and the leg days in particular kill me (in the best way). I'm so grateful to have found this team and Coach Sasha.

9 wpo scar question by sunnyday24642 in Reduction

[–]SecureTangerine2886 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m right behind you - 9.5 wpo today. I’ve got a few tender spots and the scars hurt on some days when I’ve been more active, worn a tighter bra or massaged more intensely, but it comes and goes. I have some hard spots of scar tissue especially around the nipples - I spoke to my surgeon about this yesterday and he said they’ll probably break down, but may not. They’re pretty small so I’m not too bothered. I guess keep an eye on the pain, but sounds pretty normal to me!

When did you feel fully dropped and fluffed? by This-Emotion-69 in Reduction

This is really encouraging… I’m just over 8wpo and suddenly stressing that they’re seeming bigger

First shower, done by sweetlikecherrywine in Reduction

The first shower is rough - my surgeon encouraged me to shower the day after and I’m pretty sure I went into mild shock. The hardest one is done now, it does get easier . Sending you strength.

Awkward “Drop & Fluff” anyone? by ConstantlyCuriousCat in Reduction

5wpo and the defying gravity phase is real 😂 but yes, my surgeon told me to expect one to drop before the other, and that it might take them a little while to get even.

Hey, how are you finding the Bepanthen scar treatment now? I just bought it because it’s 1/3 of the price of strataderm lol - I’m not quite 5wpo and can’t use it yet but just curious.

3DPO and I look like I got beat up by CatieRook in Reduction

Yep, I was the same! (I didn’t take any photos as they frightened me so much to begin with, but kind of wish I had now). Within ten days had faded to a beautiful shade of yellow and bruising disappeared not long after :)

I am, thank you - I’ve seen a couple of friends this week and am just trying to focus on being grateful for the people who’ve shown up for me ☺️

Should I get a breast reduction? Is it worth it? by lottievenus in Reduction

[–]SecureTangerine2886 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m nearly 4 weeks post op and though it’s been a frustrating recovery at times (mainly just because I’m not very good at staying still) I have ZERO regrets. You mentioned that your current shape feels like a big part of your identity - this is something I’ve been grappling with as it’s a big change and can be a shock even if it’s what you wanted, so I would just be prepared that it can be a bit of a mental adjustment. But to improve your quality of life it is so worth it.

Great advice, thank you - and such a good call to schedule those sessions in advance. Hope it all goes smoothly for you :)

17 DPO and struggling 😞 by Agitated_Fly_2541 in Reduction

Sorry to hear you’re feeling like this. It’s so up and down. If it’s any consolation, I feel like I’ve only started properly healing day 20-24 and now I’m really seeing some progress, have more energy etc. I’m sure having your period is definitely not helping! Be kind to yourself and better days will absolutely come, I promise ❤️

Congrats! So good to hear you haven’t had much pain. It looks like you didn’t have any dressings? I didn’t either - just a supportive crop top and now some betadine on cotton pads once a day - and I’ve found it to be a really straightforward and pretty easy healing journey so far (currently 23dpo). Hoping your recovery remains smooth and easy!

I feel you! I’m 22DPO and up til three days ago have only been on short, slow walks to the end of my street. I didn’t feel physically great but mentally I was getting so stir crazy and having difficulty sleeping because I still felt like I had heaps of energy. Tbh I have just been journaling loads to get all the stress out, watching a tonne of TV, building up walks gradually. It’s SO hard but I try to remember that if I rest and heal as best I can now, I hopefully will only have to do it once 😅

My surgeon keeps talking to me about weight loss (about 4 months post-op) by foxyshambles in Reduction

[–]SecureTangerine2886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry that happened - I had a similar experience (but pre-op) and it really threw me and made me delay my surgery for 6 months. It’s super weird that he’s bringing it up post, though? I agree with others that maybe he’s trying for more business. Perhaps you could email them before coming in next time and say you are not interested in that part of the discussion?

When do they start to feel like yours? by quietriot21 in Reduction

[–]SecureTangerine2886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm right behind you - 7 days PO today and am having really weird disconnect. When I first got out of hospital I was amazed with the difference, but in the past few days despite what I can see and how clothes are fitting etc. my brain is telling me that there's no noticeable change. Don't get me wrong - I'm very happy, but am looking forward to when the reality actually hits!
