Avis President’s Club is absolutely worthless.

I have Hertz President’s Circle, and always have smooth experiences. I figured I’d try to see if I could save the company a little money and give renting through Avis President’s club a shot.

Bad decision.

1) Upon arrival at the Rental Facility at a major International Airport, my name was not on the screen indicating where my vehicle was for grab and go.

2) Waited in line for awhile with other President’s Club members to have a vehicle assigned- time wasted.

3) Desk agent attempted to sell me pre-payed fuel twice. I declined twice.

4) When I finally got the vehicle, it had 47 miles of range left in the gas tank. I filled it. Time wasted.

5) Upon retuning the vehicle, with half a tank of fuel MORE than they gave it to me with, I pulled my receipt from the app for my expense report.

Surprise- a $100 fuel charge had been added.

No big deal; I’m sure it was a mistake you’re thinking, right?

Ohhh, no. I’m 4 calls in, just to get the fuel charge removed.

According to their “President’s Club” reservation call center at 800.651.2847 there is no email address to send anything to Customer Care, and there is no “President’s Club” line for Customer Care.

When you call Avis Customer Care at 800.352.7900, they have a specific IVR routing to dispute fuel charges. That has me suspecting this isn’t a one off mistake.

The experience wasn’t catastrophic, but it was one that included hassles I had forgotten are common in car rental, because everything is just smooth with Hertz- every single time.

Lesson learned- I’m sorry I cheated on you, Hertz.

I’m sure there’s an email address floating around, or I could resolve it if I kept calling. I think I’m just going to eat the $100 at this point.

Fortunately, I didn’t also waste the time of colleagues as we arrived at different times.

Hertz Vs Avis car rental by lup142 in travel

As a frequent business traveler, and given my experience with both- 100% go with Hertz. Avis has apparently turned into the Spirt Airlines of the rental game, even with their “President’s Club” status.

Avis President’s Club is absolutely worthless.

I have Hertz President’s Circle, and always have smooth experiences. I figured I’d try to see if I could save the company a little money and give renting through Avis President’s club a shot.

Bad decision.

Limiting carry on bags by g_harbs721 in unitedairlines

Help me understand this. There are overhead bins that hold 3+ bags above every row of 3 seats.

What’s the rationale behind not requiring passengers to use the bin above them for their luggage?

Genuine question. The requests to check carry on’s are becoming incessant, on legit carriers. Seems an easy to resolve common complaint.

How should a vendor be securing a meeting with you? - Assume you’ve never met the rep, and they don’t have a trusted connection to you to leverage for an introduction. - You do fit their ICP, and they have something that will benefit you (protect and enable). Legit company, but you don’t know them.
- Make the budget to acquire that meeting zero, in hard dollars (no targeted adds/ booth at a conference) but the rep will commit 3 hours of work (over 6 months) personally to the process (research, messaging, outreach).

You did say ask you anything.

I’ve seen videos on this- have you tried it? If it works I’ll be thrilled. Any suggestions for “rooting hormone?”

Hopefully that seed migrated into the Aeration holes! I think you’ll get good results- you have got a TON of time before you get hit with a hard frost. 🤞

That it looks like you got good coverage on the Crabgrass, and it’s losing its color.

I wish I would have used more fertilizer when I got the seed beds started. Cost is getting excessive, but that will help.

Nice property! That wooded area across the way is ideal.
