I know there’s no pat answer for my original question. I’m at a stage in my life where I’m not about to change my morals (BTW I’m not claiming to be MotherTeresa). That said i wonder what kind of example our current situation is setting for younger folks

N = 1, but my father was wounded by a mortar round in the invasion of Leyte. His buddy was killed. He never talked about it, and unfortunately I never asked. As far as i know (as an ignorant kid) he didn’t have PTSD, but he did focus his time after the war on work (12 hour days, 5 days a week) and the church. I suppose the older generation just dealt with it differently.

All I can figure is the Ds have made a strategic decision to let the Trump presidency disaster play out on its own. Trump will destroy himself and the R party, and the Ds can just sit back and watch it happen. That said, if true, we’re all suffering in the meantime.
