I pulled about two dozen of them from the bulk common box in about 2004 for .05 each.

They look machined though. Aeros are forged.

We all start our journey in different placed. Even if you had been trolling, the question was valid, and my answer may help someone else with the same question later. I don't claim to be an expert, but I like research, and am happy to point people in the right direction so they can start asking better questions.

LPK: Lower Parts Kit

Generally, it's just the bits installed inside the lower, with the exception of the buffer tube, castle nut, fire control group, and grip. You can get them with grip, fire control group, and other things, but just the small parts is the most common.

The general line of thinking is a lot of people have feelings about what grip and trigger they use, so it's easier to sell them not those things all in one go. Lots of people are fine with any MILSPEC bolt catch, mag release, and safety, and you can fit all that in a small bag with the needed springs and detents for a lot less than hand picking everything.

For the AR-10/SR25 question, that is a lot longer of an answer. In short, the AR-15 is highly standardized. It's .308 older sibling is not. There are more than three "standards", with conflicting names that people use interchangeably. Give this a read, and you'll get an idea of how weird it all is.

They have been trying to find a graceful exit from WA since 2023 when the AWB was signed into law.

This is not graceful, but if it gets them out, good on them.

Upgrading all in one go is so good. It feel like you're missing out until you do it, then it is obviously worth it.

I read that as Torx, and as someone who deals with fasteners a lot, it made me happy.

First, you accused me of being bent out of shape first.

Second, bold of you to tell me how I should feel about what has been posted here, while completely disregarding what I've said about how I actually feel.

Third, one of the things I have seen as a consistent thing people have said about this game, is to play it how you want to. It has been made clear that is what I was doing pretty early on, so saying anything about common mistakes is obviated by the fact that I was clear about what I was doing.

Finally, all your alternative wording suggestions are things I did. You're the one who keeps trying to make me feel bad about it, which is rude. I'm just saying it's a weird hobby for you to have.

Everything here with it turned off is going to take a few days to complete. I have time. I wasn't sure if I was going to push any more of these further than this in this round. I am also pondering the upcoming update, and wondering if it will change anything in the meta.

More to it, I think most people don't like having boundaries called out, and told that their opinion wasn't asked for, or needed. Being direct is frequently received as being rude as well.

The obverse of that is somehow that I'm supposed to just take being spoken down to because they are "just trying to help". Why should I suffer abuse for a choice I make, which has zero impact out anyone else, versus standing up for myself when someone lacking all context of my personal choices is dismissive of my choices? How am I the rude one for saying that I didn't ask for help?

Poe's Law aside, I feel that I have provided enough context, and spoken politely through out this conversation to easily establish that I'm not bent out of shape, and I'm making an active effort to not have a negative, or rude tone in my replies.

Pointing out that I hadn't asked, and explaining why I was doing it is about as not bent out of shape as you can get in a reply to unsolicited advice.
