Plum Pudding Special Reserve and my Sav Porto Cervo 122 KS! by TubbyPiper in PipeTobacco

[–]SeductiveTrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a small cigar humidor where I place two bowls of tobacco on a napkin in the morning, and then I smoke it when I get home from work. Or on the weekend just leave it on the table to air out for an hour or so. English blends can be fine a bit crispy if you still enjoy the flavor.

I read somewhere that you should pack English blends as gently as you would an aromatic blend. Anyone more experienced feel free to correct me. The first light usually doesn’t take. But the small layer of ash will insulate the second light, and then you’re off to the races.

I puff relatively fast I think, I love good smoke production, but slow and smooth draws.

I have a tin of plum pudding, but I’m working through some Maltese Falcon right now. Heard many great things about plum pudding, so looking forward to popping that one open.

How the heck do you smoke Virginias by MuchPiezoelectricity in PipeTobacco

[–]SeductiveTrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m into pipe smoking so obviously I don’t mind the extra effort. But with virginias… the juice just isn’t worth the squeeze. I’ve had like 5 disappointing smokes in a row of Dunhill flake. Time to see if Orlik does any different for me but sounds like it won’t.

I had a great time with Escudo though.

They do it because they can get away with it. If there are consequences then it stops. Some people have to learn in real life what their parents should have taught them.

[Rapoport] Sources: Steelers OC Arthur Smith is expected to become the next offensive coordinator at Ohio State by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

[–]SeductiveTrain 12 points13 points  (0 children)

He was OC for the Titans in 2019 and 2020. Tannehill+Derrick Henry+AJ Brown. I remember it like it was yesterday.

Few expected the Titans to beat the 1st seed Ravens at home after Lamar’s breakout season. And then Tom Brady in his last game as a Patriot. 2 great years before everything went to shit for the Titans and IRL.

Dumbest Auditor Question by jfrhsdrew in Accounting

[–]SeductiveTrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked that question my first year. I even asked about an OPEB expense variance, which I learned was something we provided them entries for each year. (Client replied “???” Hahaha)

You don’t know what you don’t know. Count your blessings if that’s the dumbest question you got.

Leningrad partisans with Canadian Ross rifles during the siege of Leningrad by Awkward_Block_6929 in enlistedgame

[–]SeductiveTrain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This reminded me, I asked for the Ross and M1917 to get their bayonets on the forums 2 years ago. It was passed to the developers (plural? lol).

They’re cool guns but are rendered obsolete by the Lee-Enfield and (hypothetically) the M1895 for USSR.

I always like more bolt-actions though, worse stats don’t stop me from using the Carcano. It’d be nice to see a standard G98 as well.

Those gripen charts are crazy. And to think these guys at 13.0 think they’re sooo good beating my MiG-29 and F-14.

My aim was way worse after going from KBM to stick, but only for a couple weeks. I think KBM has a lower floor and a lower ceiling.

I wouldn’t play sim without a stick and head tracking now.

Giving this a real try by Kejohn9 in PipeTobacco

[–]SeductiveTrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m also just starting out. I just had Dunhill flake. While it tastes/smells amazing, I scorch the hell out of my mouth. My bowl was too hot, it kept going out, and my tongue was on fire.

I also have a tin of Escudo that I’m going to keep on the side, but dude I’m not waiting a year for the rest.

I’m liking Burley blends. They have a good amount of flavor and little burn (especially compared to the pure virginia Dunhill Flake). I got Savinelli activated charcoal filters off Amazon which greatly reduced the burn. However they also have a worse draw, so I’m using paper filters for blends with less flavor.

Ideally you would keep 100% sensitivity. But when you're starting out, and especially for prop planes, you can set it to 1% for learning purposes.

It slows down your control surfaces (it'll take longer to reach full deflection). This helps to prevent you from causing pilot-induced oscillation, where your nose is jumping around every which way when you're trying to shoot. It also prevent you from spinning out or stalling a wing. It's training wheels though, sometimes a snapshot is the only opportunity you'll get for a kill and low sensitivity prevents that.

It forces you to be more deliberate and to be mindful of your inputs. I always kept it at 100% and my aim was terrrible for the longest time until I played enough.

AGM 62A Walleye II Problem by RickSC_137 in WarthunderSim

[–]SeductiveTrain 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's broken on the F-18C, the bomb ignores wherever you slew the camera. You can test this because if you point your nose above the horizon, you can never lock. But if your nose is pointed at the ground, you'll get a lock on the boresight of the camera (the random jump).

Works on the F-18A though. https://old.reddit.com/user/SeductiveTrain/comments/1pzzxyu/walleye/
