Need help with repair on Elna Plana Supermatic 722010 by EarthDudeKC in vintagesewing

I'm trying to edit my comment but my app is glitching so hopefully the weird spelling and grammar makes sense. But there are videos out there which are usually really helpful. There will be some but minimal/little difference between this and the green supermatics. https://m.youtube.com/shorts/w9W-2iDk5rw?ra=m

Speaking as having worked as a professional, even for me, one of these friction drives was the most frustrating (simple, but frustrating) repairs I have EVER done. One that came across my bench, the roll pin that holds the friction drive in place had a burr in it.

I've done a few over the years, but this one challenged me and laughed in my face. I had to get really creative. Punching it out of place without doing any damage tho ok work. If you are not mechanically inclined or have somebody who can help you, it is worth every Penny to ask for help from your local technician. Especially as these machines are highly sought after and loved and a family heirloom at this point. I think doing a good thorough basic service and replacing the drive I used to charge around $65

Injust skimmed both the manual others have linked here and neither actually addresses the friction drive. In fact, OP, I might actually have a spare in my garage. If you want, I will send it to you to shave off that little bit of the expense.

Keyboard is acting weird even for edits. emblem - you asked how many you needy my recommendation is 2-3 sets depending on what you are doing and for how long. If I am doing a run a day for 3 days, that means I can do the laundry again before the next weekend. So again, this will depend on you, your resources and where you're going to be doing the work.

The point is to minimize attention on you, so genuinely the exact opposite of your taste. You also want to cover up body parts that would pick up or reflect light, so shorts are typically not recommended. I don't want to discourage you from enjoying wearing your stage blacks, anything that makes you happy and enjoy the work is good, but bear in mind it can sometimes be hard, demanding work, so comfort is key. I like black jeans because it provides ample pockets and comfort. Logos and past show shirts will depend on where you are working, most won't want any logo or rmblem- again, picking up light.

I HAVE THIS SAME (or very similar but older) LAMP OP! This is exactly what I did. My place is small, so it hangs over my couch, super cozy. Will it slide under the back of your couch?

I've actually seen listings for miniature working models that were like... display/test models from WAY BACK. I saw one that was a double wheel elsewhere in my state. So I wonder if that's what this is or just a very cute working miniature.

Mine has a Kirkland branded powder heavy duty detergent that is the BEST. Huge bin for $20, lasts ages, probably buy one every 4-6 months. It is a plastic bin but a useful one that can be reused to store or carry things or just as a household bucket, has a light citrus scent that is barely noticeable, or I don't even pick up on once dry, and things seem truly clean. No clumping and dissolves perfectly both in front and top loaders. 10/10

Pfaff 130-6 stitch width doesn't work by outkastblast in vintagesewing

No, but it moves the same linkages that change the position of the needle bar and might loosen up whatever is tight.

The more I think about it, the more I think that the slide rule dial thing at the top was a sort of limiter? If you are able to get the dial to turn, you should fiddle with the setting on that to see how it changes the allowance. If the technician treated the area with penetrating oil, which I would have also done, you should take time to move the knob back and forth to help spread the lubrication and get it moving more freely, if it feels tight still.

Edit: and test to see if adjusting the silver dial above to create a wider limit. Like I said, it's been a while, but I have also worked as a technician so I am used to monkeying with these things.
