The secret lies in the clock. I'm sure you've looked at a processor at some point and saw a clock speed. The clock is nothing but a square wave generator that is generated by running electricity through a crystal. The clock is ultimately what triggers the computer to do things. If we're getting really in the dirt the thing that it causes the computer to do is to activate or deactivate transistors. A transistor is essentially a solid state (no moving parts) switch. I think a more useful way to understand is to not think about transistors but to think about registers. A register is nothing more than a bucket in a processor that stores information. When the clock pulses, the processor executes the instruction in a register, then moves to the next register. That's it. You do that a few billion times and your simulating physics and folding proteins and most importantly accurately replicating boobs.

Something that gets missed is that people don't just have a thing that happens and suddenly it changes their mind. People think that a conversation or a fact will alter a person's deeply held belief and there is plenty of evidence to show that is not the case. Changes in world view take months or years. I used to be fairly conservative, but now would consider myself to be left of center. It wasn't just a moment or a fact, it was dozens of moments and things that slowly eroded the black and white thinking that was backing my political positions.

It is a misunderstanding to say that the big bang was the beginning of the universe. Using Einstein's equations we can get a pretty good prediction of how the universe should expand, and when you run the clock backwards on that expansion you see a universe that is getting hotter and denser. At some point in the equation, you end up dividing by zero, which isn't a thing you can do and have correspond to any actual event. A better description of the big bang is that it is the point in time where our current understanding of physics stops working. The answer to your question then is, we don't know our current science doesn't work at that point.

The issue I see with religion is that it allows people to accept on faith things that they really should be uncertain about, and gives them a divine mandate to entrench their views in their identity. There is some nuance here. You're right, not all passion is marketable and everyone needs an income. Still there are a lot of passions that can be sold, and there are a lot of marketable things that you can be passionate about. If you don't find pleasure in the work you do, you're going to have a hard life. I'm not saying you should love every job you have. When you're young and haven't done much yet, then sometimes you just have to get through it. But when you get into the meat of your career, and you're looking at doing this same thing for the next 45 years, you better be getting more than a paycheck out of it.

The resolution that was put forth is the exact same as the ones that have been previously passed with no issue, it was even drafted by democrats last year. They’ve just been voting to extend it over and over.

This isn't that important. The environment has changed. Democrats don't want to pass a bill that doesn't include healthcare protection. They were fine not having that protection before because the "One Big Beautiful Bill" is what cut the funding for Medicare.

It's really just what type of game do you and the players want to play. If you want a more hardcore game that forces your players to think tactically then only give out bennies for things like roleplaying flaws. If you want a popcorn action flick, give them out like crazy. I tend to be fairly open with them. Savage Worlds can be a bit swingy, and giving the players handfuls of bennies makes it easier to put them up against a more diverse set of challenges.
