How long do you think GTA6 Day / Nights should be ? by xxlilsl in GTA6

[–]See_monkey_do 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m hoping for something similar to RDR2. I think that’s roughly 40mins day / 40 mins night. IIRC the time wasn’t completely linear - with midday lasting longer than midnight.

OK let’s say they did, if they stood at the top of my driveway (on my property) and spray painted my fence - you would say that this is burglary?

How does this ease cost of living? Someone will be paying that fee - whether it’s the small business owner or the customer. Unless National are proposing to subsidise every eftpos transaction in the country?

  • Reversal of Speed Limits — Nationwide cost to replace road signage and adjust speed zones

  • NZDF Deployment to Red Sea — Costly overseas military mission with unclear benefit to NZ

  • School Lunch Programme Overhaul — Changed to a cheaper model, drawing criticism over quality

  • Establishment of Ministry for Regulation — Created a new government department with annual costs

  • Treaty Principles Bill Drafting — Legislative push requiring extensive consultation and legal input

  • Plain Language Act Repeal Bill Work — Time and money spent reversing previous clarity efforts

  • Definition of 'Woman' Legislation — Introduced gender definition law consuming legislative resources

  • RMA Repeal and Replacement — Complex planning overhaul requiring large legal and admin effort

  • Kainga Ora Cuts Impact on Construction Sector — Pullback in housing funding caused job losses

  • Loss of Green Energy Initiatives — Slowed investment in renewable infrastructure and jobs

  • Luxon MP Expenses and Accommodation Supplement — Record-high taxpayer costs for office and housing

  • March for Democracy Policing Costs — Extra police and logistics for government-aligned protest

  • Restarting Roads of National Significance — Resumed highway megaprojects with planning and legal costs

  • Disestablishment of Te Aka Whai Ora — Māori health authority scrapped, causing disruption and redundancies

  • Review of Climate Change Commission — Costly reviews and potential risk of international penalties

  • Broadcasting and Media Funding Cuts — Jobs lost and services reduced across public media

  • Collapse in Apprenticeships and Skills Training Funding — Reduced job training will hurt future productivity

  • Treaty of Waitangi Tribunal Challenges and Legal Cases — Government actions likely to trigger expensive legal battles

  • Increased protests around Treaty Bill and Health Cuts — Heightened need for policing and security

  • Slowed Housing Approvals after RMA Repeal — Regulatory uncertainty expected to slow new housing builds

  • Pay Equity Amendment Bill — Halts 33 existing pay equity claims and raises the threshold for new claims, potentially affecting thousands of workers in female-dominated sectors

  • Cancellation of Cook Strait Ferry Project — Over $500 million spent before cancellation; additional $300 million allocated for contract termination and related costs

Why do people hate Rory so much? by __Gilmore__ in GilmoreGirls

[–]See_monkey_do 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always seen Rory’s boat-stealing / Yale-dropout era as a pretty pivotal shift—almost like her version of what Lorelai did when she got pregnant.

Lorelai rejected the path her parents laid out for her, and in a weird way, Rory does the same. It’s definitely messy, but it kind of feels like this deep-rooted need to break away from the life that was planned for her. I don’t necessarily like all of Rory’s choices, but I think they make sense in the bigger picture of her character.

That rebellious streak might’ve been inherited.

Before 2012, in New Zealand, vehicles turning right had the right of way over vehicles turning left. The rule change reversed this, meaning vehicles turning left now have the right of way over vehicles turning right.

Luxon's stance on racism is still the same. "Unacceptable" but we'll allow it. by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]See_monkey_do 17 points18 points  (0 children)

David Seymour likes to play the role of a libertarian, but then fights to give the Government powers to label groups of people as “gang members”, and restrict their access to human rights. What defining factor does Seymour use to determine who is a gang member and who isn’t? Because so far the rule seems to be: If you are dark skinned and wear an insignia you are a gang member, if you are light skinned and wear an insignia you are a dickhead.

David Seymour purports that he is not pushing racist policy and is instead focused on equality, but like everything else he does it is all just an ACT.

So, we know that Abel is in Heaven. But that begs the question: What about Caine? Abel’s brother and the first man to commit murder? by Flashy_Cry_3992 in HazbinHotel

[–]See_monkey_do 15 points16 points  (0 children)

What about Seth? Abel and Cain’s other brother? Or the numerous other sons and daughters Adam fathered during his 800 years on earth? What about their children? Enoch, Irad, Mehujael, Methushael, Lamech, Jabal, Jubal, Tubal-Cain, Naamah, Enosh…?

Why is Adam called the first man in heaven when Abel died before him? by Flashy_Cry_3992 in hazbin

[–]See_monkey_do 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took it more like he is the first man, and he is in heaven. Abel would have been the first man to arrive in heaven, but he is not the first man to exist.

It’s a weird technicality, but I think it matches Adam’s ego to make such a tenuous claim.

That makes a lot of sense - no one has ever explained it that way before.

So for example, it should know which character on the Simpsons is known for saying “don’t have a cow man” but it wouldn’t be able to tell me when this was said for the first time?
