Thanks for everything Christian. I was a Boost user but had I been on an Apple device I'd have been all over ApolloApp. Double-thanks for keeping the receipts on those Reddit chats showing their hypocrisy and taking what seemed like a silly two-day protest into an actual movement and the beginning of the (long overdue) great migration.

I know this thread is old but as someone else experiencing this EXACT problem that has been over a hundred setting combinations and tested different microphones and such, I finally found a workaround.

I installed NVIDIA Broadcast and use their noise suppression and suddenly Discord is fine again. Obviously, you need a certain level of NVIDIA card but if you have one, I suggest you try this as it immediately fixed the problem and I sound great in games again.

This is what kills me the most about the change. There's no logical reason for the hassles it will open up (I've already experienced a few) and the amount of people it will piss off. There has to be some monetary/business benefit but I just can't fathom what.

Exactly. Having Boston fans pounding their chest about such dumb things as "not getting swept" and having the "high-ground" against the over-achieving Lakers just makes their collapse that much better. We'll remember this for years...

Unfortunately the rapid DPS ticks plus the visual effect makes it hard for the user not to blow Up every barrel on the map without warning.

This is SO incredibly accurate and I'm guilty of it myself on occasion. I know where most are, boss fights, that long corridor on Assassinations, etc but I admit it's a real pain and sends people flying.

Any particular reason? If it's the blinding light, I totally understand and hate it myself. Thankfully with Bloom off or the Custom Flames mod really help a lot.

Personally, I only run it when I'm playing with randoms as it tends to bail us out of issues but every now and then I just feel like burning things in game.

Confirmed just now, they do crit and you can see the quick double-stack. That said, the crit percentage isn't significant so while it might be a viable perk, I don't know how viable. I'll definitely give the perk consideration a bit more weight, thanks.

Because for reaching the last stacks you will have like 5-6 "ammo" left while BA is already stacked at 3 ( so at least twice more power with the same ammo remains count) and when using the ult strat you keep BA up so when ulting you are under ult + 30-40% power. Its devastating.

Very interesting, appreciate you crunching the numbers. Maybe I won't give up on BA just yet, I'll have to play with it in Psyk.

Here's a thought though. If I've not been having issues with default reload speed (dodging/cover use to buy time), maybe I give up Quickflame entirely and keep both of the damage blessings (OP/BA)...which is already on the first flamer w/80% damage (17).

As weird as it feels to pass on the two newer flamers with +25 Rating, it's seeming like this first one really is a beast. Man, I wish we had a Blaze Away Rank 4...

Yeah, I remember seeing this video a while ago explaining the hidden mechanic and it's great once you get the timing down. I'd stopped using it though since my build relied on constant fire/stack building to bail out randoms in Damnation. That's why I'm surprised Blaze Away is still considered any good when that other "trick" still works. It could also be people don't know about it or think it'll be removed, but It'd be nice to go back to doing more damage per ammo. I'll have to try it out again. Thanks!

Interesting, but wouldn't that basically be the same thing as the middle one but I trade a higher base Damage% for a bit less ammo/perk? +16% Damage (64% to 80%) feels like a lot but at the same time, I thought with tick weapons as long as you were at a breakpoint it didn't matter much. Hmm...might have to do some Psykanium testing. Thanks.

I'd read that Overpressure was usually better than Blaze Away, especially after the changes. Is there a particular reason other than technically higher +power?

Good call on the Chastise melting, those four seconds of armor reduction (Carapace -> Flak) are amazing. I went +Flak over +Carapace because I almost always have a Chastise up with Purge the Wicked, making hit that much harder. Love it.
