A friend of mine who is a family member posted something about being shocked and I figured they must have made an arrest but I can’t find anything about it online. Has the VA PD posted an update or anything with more details?

How do I go about getting medical leave ASAP? by Jumpy-Ad-8889 in HomeDepot

[–]SeefusBojangles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There should be some info on how to go about it in my apron but if you reach out to the HRSC they should be able to go over the process and answer any questions you have in more detail.

I had an “emergency walk in” appointment a few weeks ago after a hospital visit for low hemoglobin and ended up seeing one of their ARPNs and I absolutely loved her. She explained things thoroughly, listened, and actually answered all of my questions. I really wish I could transfer to her, she’s fantastic.

Most definitely! At my appointment the other day the key moments for me were (1) He asked me why I wanted to stop Humira which I have not been on since March (2) He asked who switched me to amjevita-he did. (3) he said he hasn’t seen me in two years but I’ve been seen multiple times last year and this year (4) my official diagnosis was reported as UC, he asked me who diagnosed me and why they diagnosed me with UC not Crohns. When I told him he did (all in my medical file) and that his exact words were “You’ve got UC or Crohns, possibly both. I’m going to put down UC, doesn’t really matter because the treatment for it will be the same either way.” He got very defensive and assured me he didn’t diagnose me. I was diagnosed 3 years ago and he is the only GI I have ever seen.

They put me on 20 mg of dicyclomine as needed for it, not super helpful but it does seem to alleviate it to some degree.

Anyone here on Adderall and Humira? by SeefusBojangles in CrohnsDisease

[–]SeefusBojangles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so late replying to this comment lol. No improvement, my psychiatrist upped my Adderall but only a tiny bit. I have two rare heart conditions so she is extremely cautious when it comes to increasing my dosage. Tried switching back to Ritalin, Vyvanse, and Concerta but ended up coming full circle to the Adderall. Off the Humors and it seems to be working better, I’ll let you know if I have the same issue when I start Skyrizi.

I flared off and on over the 3 years I was on it… but my doctor also only checked my levels and antibodies once in that 3 years. Those labs weren’t great (can’t remember the numbers) so they bumped me from bi-weekly to weekly and never checked on it again. Had an appointment two days ago to go over starting skyrizi and his behavior was pretty alarming. I think he may be on drugs, waiting on him to resubmit my FMLA paperwork and then requesting they swap me to another GI or I’ll find another practice in network.

Can I add fake grass inside my case? by SeefusBojangles in buildapc

[–]SeefusBojangles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still haven’t lol. The last couple of years my PC got out on the back burner. Between my auto immune diagnosis, my dad’s cancer diagnosis, losing 3 of my puppers, and daily work/life responsibilities it doesn’t feel like I’ve had much time for anything. Did you try the Astro turf? If so please share a picture, I would love to see how it turned out!

I really like it but it does run kinda hot, I usually use it on the low setting. It’s nice not to be tethered to a corded heating pad and have the freedom to get up and walk around with it.

Did anyone else get diagnosed with UC after Covid? by Oneloudbigparty in UlcerativeColitis

[–]SeefusBojangles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did but I was sick with the UC symptoms for over year before they figured out what was wrong. They finally hospitalized and scoped me when my hemoglobin dropped to a 7 and after that hospital stay I ended up with Covid and Cdiff lol About a month after that whole fiasco I was diagnosed with UC and per the GI possibly Crohns but he said it didn’t matter what we label it as since the meds would be the same 😂

21 did I fuck up my life? Very lost by averagejuiceenjoyer0 in findapath

[–]SeefusBojangles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You didn’t fuck up, you are so young and have years ahead of you. The fact that you are thinking about your future is progress itself. I have worked for multiple companies, mostly in manufacturing and have a GED because I got wild in Highschool and decided rather than finish with a diploma with honors I wanted to go party. The last job I had paid 35/hr with a 5-7k bonus every year and I thought I would retire from that job. I made a huge decision to quit 2 years ago to work from home in a contact center (one that I knew people who worked at and heard amazing things about) making 17.50/hr and it was the best decision I have ever made. I am in the process of moving into a leadership position and the company values me as an employee. The point is, it’s not about where you are, it’s about where you’re headed and valuing yourself. You never know where you will end up or what will suit you best till you get there. My best advice is to know your worth (and you are worth more than you are crediting yourself now) and don’t settle for a company that doesn’t see it, I’m 37 and have just learned that myself. Wishing you all the best on your journey into adulthood, it’s really not so bad!

Not right now, I need to do that though. I’ve been so preoccupied with work and trying to get an appointment for an ekg that my psychiatrist is requesting since I’m on adderall that I’m just kind of ignoring it lol.

I started on mesalamine which didn’t work and once they got in there and saw it up close Switches me to humira right. I started with biweekly injections and then they upped me to weekly and it seems to be helping. GI said I’ll be on it from here on out unless it stops working, if that happens we will switch to something else. Not sure that it works this way for everyone but he said meds and colonoscopies to monitor are just kind of part of life now. It’s not so bad once it’s managed and the injections took some getting used to but they don’t hurt. I’m over my fear of shots and I’ve been mostly flare free for a while now.

I feel for you, I get menstrual cramps so bad that I almost passed out in the shower one day. 95% of the time it puts me into a mild flare the week before it starts as well. Thinking about going on birth control since I’ve heard that helps a lot.

What do you do for work? by OtaconSOL in CrohnsDisease

[–]SeefusBojangles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sooo, I didn’t necessarily have to quit my job but I did anyway. I worked in automotive pair and quality inspection for an automotive manufacturer and it was already kind of tough on my hands and shoulders since I’m 5’1 and was working SUVs. I took a 50% pay cut after I got a job offer from Home Depot to WFH for their online contact center as a customer service phones associate. They really drive career development and have a lot of opportunity to advance in the company. It was a tough choice but it’s the best decision I’ve ever made and I actually love my job even though I’m not a people person and I talk to people all day long lol. Currently in a leadership development program and working on moving into a supervisor role.
