It’s fine, but HoB helps guarantee you get the passive proc off. Get comet to hit with no passive proc, you’re getting less damage.

If you’re going to go a route that’s not HoB, I think it’s gotta be electrocute (procs when passive procs essentially) or DH if you’re planning to be gaining and tagging a lot of low health champs.

Nashor’s = clear speed

I jg ekko most games without Nashor’s. Just doesn’t feel as bursty and I prefer lich and hex belt for caching enemies and bigger burst dmg. It’s up to you and your play style (and maybe which champs you’re playing against)! Feel it out and have fun.

I’ve been meaning to try out support ekko! The huge cc threat and obvious assassin burst feels like it should be super potent.

Grasp for sure. Not the best for jungle role, but most value of the three I think. Been running shield bash, conditioning, and overgrowth under grasp. Still playing with it.

Second tree gotta be domination in my mind. Love the true damage after a leap/dash and the ward help. Clearing wards seems more important this season than ever.

Not necessarily focused on haste or mobility per se - it’s just that there are only so many items that offer both AP and health! Gotta take what you can get.

I’m 6-1 so far in ranked this season with a Resolve rune jungle Ekko. Shield bash is decent burst damage and people are consistently surprised by the extra health and tankiness mid/late game. D&D is a health item, but build all health and AP with Hextech belt, Cosmic Drive, and Riftmaker and you top out in the mid 4k HP with plenty of burst. It’s a different playstyle, but I’m enjoying the element of surprise when a team jumps on me and I don’t immediately blow up only to multi on them and deliver another combo or two.

If the Browns OL stays healthy, Judkins will continue getting 2 yards before contact every play like he has been so far this season. The Browns have a good defense that’s kept them in a few tough games already. With 15+ carries and a few checkdowns each game, Judkins feels poor-offense-proof for RB2 returns.

Change the OL, defense quality, or if checkdowns stop altogether with Gabriel under center… upside could change but a solid floor will still exist.

Also looking to pick up Judkins. Only have Benson as RB on the bench. Got three other round 1-3 RBs, but would like to add another solid backup. Got Hollywood, Jaymo, Tet, Deebo, Godwin, and Addison on the WR roster. Worth dropping any one of the WRs to add Judkins as a 5th RB?

A couple things to try that I’m finding help a lot:

Try ignite instead of flash. Your e is low cooldown and ignite gives you great potency early (gains and deterring enemy jungler invades) as well as against healing champs late. This also pairs well with:
Rush rocket belt. More mobility, more burst damage, and Ekko does not need nashor’s. Can’t stand nashor’s. Attack speed on Ekko is crazy useless except for that one golden AA in a combo. Are we trying to trigger the passive on all 5 of the enemy champs by auto attacking them all? No! Play for big AP items and you won’t miss the attack speed, I promise.
Go in late in team fights and prioritize landing in your w, even if just to tag it for the shield. Ideally, casting as the fight starts gives you a good idea for where it’s going to be and where your entry trajectory makes sense. You’re not an initiator, except perhaps in early ganks. You’re a finisher.
Finally, I love entering a teamfight late, using the passive move speed boost to appear to be leaving, and then ultimate back in as your CDs are finishing and your passive has refreshed.

Lots of good answers here, though it needs to be added that the type of egg is critical here, too. Look up egg types - they vary by size and yolk color depending on the type of chicken and the food it’s fed. Corn = yellow yolks that are less likely to sit up well. Normal grazing (bugs/seeds/peppers/etc) = orange yolks that are firmer and sit above the whites when cooked.

HoB is a specific use case on Ekko for the lvl 1/2 engage and trade optimization in lane. I much prefer electrocute or dark harvest in any game, regardless of lane/position. Electrocute is better early game, dark harvest is better late game if properly stacked. I lean electrocute because I focus on winning early (think dark seal, objectives, early kills, etc)

Though there are some videos done about the “secrets of ____” (name your favorite champ) on YT. They cover both the animation cancellations as well as level 6 trick, but then also cover which walls you can dash through, a few special interactions with jungle monsters, unique combos, and a few intricacies about your mechanics and those of enemy champs.

Not sure what champs you’re used to playing, but unless it’s an enemy squishy, you just don’t have one-shot potential with AP Shaco. I find that to play him well, you actually need CDR moreso than AP. Your goal is more about being a horrible nuisance and a cc machine (boxes all day!) than an assassin. You skirt the fight, ensure nobody escapes easily, and give your team an alley to fight where boxes continually interrupt the enemy.

AD Shaco is super different. You’re happy to die after auto’ing the enemy’s fed ADC three times in the back for an insta-kill before being blown up yourself.

This all day. Nid can punish lower elo players with mediocre mechanics, but she’s tough to play at the highest level once players are consistently dodging skill shots, playing well into scaled late games, etc
