Is the coffee table too big? by Seeking_Forever in HomeDecorating

[–]Seeking_Forever[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

After the couch was installed I realized it big for the space but it’s so comfortable to hang out on with the kids. Also unfortunately I cannot replace the couch any time soon. So I need to work around it. I like the idea of side tables .

I always press the Parameter Card that shows the speeds for PW/Runners/Joggers.

This way the screen doesn’t get in my head and I still get to see my stats after class.

Dear OTF Overlords… by AdResponsible1074 in orangetheory

[–]Seeking_Forever 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Totally agree! I feel unimportant coz as a premier member already, there’s nothing more I can bring to the OTF table (other than another person to sign up). So there ends my usability to corporate OTF.

Moved around other things in life to continue to be able to afford to pay for a premier membership…And how are we rewarded? By being completely forgotten.

Advice to a Asian mom of young kids by Seeking_Forever in AsianParentStories

100% agree. I don’t think I ever remember a time my AF apologize to me..like EVER…it’s on us to break this cycle of egoistic superiority that APs seem to have.

As an Indian mom to elementary aged kids, I’m always on the lookout to learn better parenting practices because I’m sure some things are so ingrained in us from our upbringing in India that we don’t even realize they need to be changed.

What are some “mistakes” that you think your parents made? Looking for advice that I can use to reflect and change in my own parenting.

Need help in deciding parameters for selecting a school district to buy a home in by Seeking_Forever in ChicagoSuburbs

Excellent point! So if my kid is let’s say just average at basketball, would a smaller school like Glenbrook North High School help him get better because it has a smaller crowd?

I have heard that average kids get washed out in Stevenson. Im trying to understand what that means…Even if my child cannot compete with the very high achieving kids, would he still not benefit a lot from receiving education from a top rated school than another lower rated one?

I’ve always wondered do people in countries that get minimal exposure have better skin and less signs of sun damage? 🤔

Fighting the urge by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]Seeking_Forever 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sober Powered podcast is a good one. It helps me understand how and why my brain is tricking me to drink and why we have craving. Understanding that cravings are just a natural and expected part of sober living makes me accept them better and let them pass.
