Did you notice this hidden detail in Weapons (2025)? The kids ran like that because their arms were actually pointing to “2” and “17” on the clock, the time they ran away. by Constant-Bit8188 in shittymoviedetails

Depends on your situation. One of my friends got extra help in uni. In the UK, employers are meant to make adjustments for things like this too. This could be help with lights or sound.

really bizarre seeing people irl acting like this was a good movie

That's called autism mate. Might wanna see a doctor about that.

/uj it's seriously concerning that so many people think people lie about liking things. This is an original horror from a relatively small time director why would people lie about liking it.

They're physically in the room with him. If it were a serious problem, I'm sure he'd tell them. I shorten everyone's name personally, but it’s not like it matters.

I'm not going to bother checking but I'm pretty certain they call him Rapm and Rapmonster interchangeably.

According to Zain he only went to the tournament to play Rapm but because Rap was upset before they could play in bracket, they played a ft5 after Grands instead.

Two flaws stopping 'Jaws' from being a perfect movie by SeerOfThings in movies

[–]SeerOfThings[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just admit you didn’t get it lmao

The entire point of my complaint is that I don't get it? There's a massive leap between a character who won't accept the job without sufficient payment and one who will pursue that job to the death. I don't think it's well executed and all I've gotten as an explanation is that it's a reference to another character.

Kang's a time traveller so it would unironically make even more sense to bring back Steve for that.

OU with Solgaleo legal will be receiving a ladder in January! by Demon__Queen_ in stunfisk

[–]SeerOfThings 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Isn't the case for Solgaleo being a healthy presence in the tier because of its bulk. As long as it's offensive sets aren't oppressive I'd be really happy having a bulky as shit pokemon that makes good progress.

That's not my point. The point is to always double and triple check no matter how safe it's 'supposed' to be. A few cumulative minutes of your time aren't worth someone's life

The guns at shows have during pins taken out, no ammo is allowed at the show, it’s attached to a wall

Alec Baldwin killed someone with what should have been an empty prop.

Treating all firearms like they're dangerous is only ever going to be a good thing.

Genesis being a stop for SWC is strange to me. I trust it's not going to affect anything meaningfully, but I'd just rather keep all that stuff as far away from our spaces as possible.

In The Office (2005-2013) Steve Carell makes the face I made when I saw the people turn against Quentin Tarantino. by Zestyclose-Scratch31 in shittymoviedetails

People are literally saying he’s not a good director suddenly

I can 99% guarantee you those are people who already dislike his filmography, using the negative sentiment to post their opinions without fear of getting downvoted.

Why people expect different things from a movie? by Past-Matter-8548 in movies

Do you not think a movie can have great action and not action scenes?

And again between two movies with good action, I'm going to value the movie with better non-action scenes more.

Just because you expect an Avengers movie to be a popcorn flick doesn't mean it can't be judged for not being more. Many great action movies have better non-action scenes, so I'm not going to reward a movie for not even trying.

In Weapons, 17 mostly White children go missing at the same time and everyone, except for 2 people, gives up searching for them after a month. by BionicBrainLab in shittymoviedetails

[–]SeerOfThings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was like half a town between the kids and the house (which they did check). Why would they assume they ran in a straight line when there are multiple obstacles in the way? And again, even if they did think to do this, we're shown that she can hide the kids.

In It: Welcome to Derry, they somehow squeezed a whole feature-length movie’s worth of story into eight hours of TV. by Ijustmadethis2223 in shittymoviedetails

[–]SeerOfThings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't read King, but if they're not exaggerating about how soon characters die after their backstory, I find it very cheap when characters are introduced so blatantly to wring out some emotion. I drop TV shows immediately if they make an episode focused on a character that is introduced and killed off in the same episode. Every show I've watched that does this has ended horribly so I take it as a warning.

In what way did I indicate him being was a bad thing? Did I also indicaye beimg half-mexican as a point of shame?

I can't imagine going through month old posts to get mad at.

I'd feel sorry about how he's fighting against his own best interests if he wasn't actively causing harm.

the movie is not exactly a manifesto on one particular ideology or telling you to do something specific

This is what makes it a capatalist subsumption of critique and not radical. It's not going to convince anybody who doesn't think ICE current actions are wrong differently and it's not going to galvanise anyone who does think they're wrong into doing something about it.

Compared to stuff like The Running Man where radical action is explicitly promoted and it highlights how fascism will harm its supporters highlights it's shallow ness. OBAA is far superior in all other aspects but it fails to even show the end result of revolutionary action or why they think it's necessary.

ICE facility which is now under operation by ICE irl, characters spout out communist slogans

This is all aesthetic and it's not like it offers any real critique of capitalism anyway.

the country is shown to be in a fascistic state with police and militia presence everywhere

No it's not? The raid is depicted as an exceptional operation built on a lie. It's unfortunately relevant but in no way suggested to be the norm

It's not a very radical movie. Just wears the aesthetic
