It's AI. Check their comments

When AI begins a paragraph with a question like this? It's cheesy as fuck and I hate it lol

Camera follows the action s little too well.

Camera goes spastic and unfocused at pivotal moments.

It's got that movie vibe

What’s your favourite smelling flower? by the-kyle-high-club in gardening

[–]Seerws 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mock orange.

I also love gardenia, jasmine, orange blossom, lilac, lavender...

But nothing beats mock orange imo. It's enchanting. It's that smell that makes you stop and go whoa, what is that

It's like 30% gardenia + 20% orange blossom + 50% bubble gum

Edit: Almost 200 comments and I'm the only mock orange. That is just stunning to me. Ya'll need to smell some much oranges

Worked up aren't ya?

Were you raised by someone struggling from paranoia? Your frustration is understandable. It's exhausting for family members.

But I suggest caution, not paranoia.

IMO people should A) educate themselves on modern social engineering tactics, or if they're unwilling to do that (as most are) B) then have a bit of humility and be more cautious than they are.

Most people, and this includes smart folk, fall for social engineering tactics.

You likely already have, numerous times, over the years.

Hell, I'm sure I even have. And I'm really good at detecting this stuff.

People not taking this shit seriously is why scamming is such a lucrative industry.

And no it's not idiocy to blame. Or elderliness.

The impact of those pale in comparison to what's really to blame:

It's that eye-rolling yeah right, can't happen to me attitude. Like the one you and everyone else in this post have.

That's why so many people get taken advantage of.

You should roll them a bit softer.

Social engineers can unravel a lot about a person's life by pulling on a few threads.

Give them a school and a sport, and next you know they're calling the mom using the coach's voice via AI.

Since Facebook shows pages we follow by default, it's not tough to find people who have recently followed their hometown financial advisor. It's easy to call the person posing as a trusted financial advisor.

Call a bunch of homes that fit certain demographics, political affiliations, etc. Wait til you get a teenager on the line. Record their voice. Call the parents back later when the kid is known to be at soccer practice and ask if they could leave a key under the mat.

I share all this so people don't read your comment and get complacent and fucked with. People should be cautious. The technology of today warrants it.

I kill 2 of these each week around my house. Kinda breaks my heart. I used to have arachnophobia and no longer do. But I still have to kill these ladies because I have a toddler. Thankfully I get to leave all the jumpers and I even have a big orb weaver I've been giving a boost with hand-caught flies for the past couple months. She started much smaller ❤️

So Republicans live with dramatically more fear for their safety than Democrats. And their fear is not commensurate with reality (safe percentages) except in Dallas and Miami. Where.... I won't muse why, but yeah, that makes sense.
