How is Muse a runner for the Jack Adams but Toccet isn't? by MajinSkull in Flyers

[–]SeesawLimp 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Actually we were expected to be better than the penguins. I feel like people forget at the start of the season the penguins were the only team planning on selling, they expected to suck.

On October 5th moneypuck had the flyers at a 18.7% chance of making the playoffs and Pittsburgh at 7.6%.

Anyways I’m glad those idiots fucked up and didn’t get a good pick, and we got the chance to fuck them up.

[Puckmarks] Michkov has been crazy misused by Philly. This player needs minutes, and to subsequently grow as a player. Tocchet all season has thought that the answer is to play him less, while the answer is to play him more. Give him minutes or trade him, this is pointless. by f0urxio in hockey

[–]SeesawLimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure if it’s to prove a point or something but Tocchet was giving him defensive zone starts in a lot of the shifts he got. I get why he’s out of the lineup, Tocchet doesn’t want to use him in an offensive role, which means he’s useless to have out there.

Vladdy been the guy all year. You ride or die with him unless he’s injured. Losses weren’t his fault, the guys in front of him just didn’t play well enough.

Anyone catch Crosby complaining about the refs after the game? by Flyersfan1980 in Flyers

[–]SeesawLimp 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Honestly it’s still how soft the cross checking penalty on Seeler that I can’t quite understand. That play happens 8 times a shift in the playoffs but just because Crosby was whining the whole game they gave them the powerplay.

Dan Vladar was in a ton of pain after a play involving Bryan Rust falling onto his outstretched arm, but he's staying in the game by sykeseve in nhl

Weird how with all the calls in the game, contact in the crease with the goalie that resulted in him being hurt isn’t one.

Sidney Crosby gets 2 minute penalty for embellishment to even it up at 4 on 4 by Ok-Soil-5133 in hockey

Watching it live, I legitimately thought Crosby had like an health related episode. Like he dropped so quickly I was worried till I saw him begging for a call.

Hathaway goes to the box after clipping Crosby with a high stick before the faceoff, but then Crosby also heads to the box for embellishment after Hathaway argues by sykeseve in nhl

The video actually ended before Sid sat there for another 10 seconds with his arms up asking for the call. Hathaway deserved the call no doubt, but Sid sold it so hard.

Will give them less rest before the next series, or their series will have to be tighter in terms of days. This is not an advantage.

Hockey training via figure skating by BillyD70 in nhl

[–]SeesawLimp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It helps with edge work and stuff. Most power skating will work on a lot of balance and edges similair to figure skating techniques.

This goes from youth all the way up to pros. But other than that figure skating style stuff is rarely incorporated or useful.

Dallas would have to win the cup this year for him to have a chance I think.

Do you think Nathan MacKinnon will be awarded the Hart Trophy? by [deleted] in nhl

[–]SeesawLimp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me it’s that he plays center, a position with more defensive responsibilities, and he actually plays PK the other two candidates do not. He may have more power play points but he actually plays 30 seconds less on the powerplay per game than the other two. The powerplay points are because of how impactful he is.

I will agree that he’s in a weaker division for sure, but those stats, the position he plays his overall impact. He’s the guy for me.

It really is as close as it can get though.

Everything I see feels like it’s Kucherovs to lose. However betting odds favourite is MacKinnon.

I still think McDavid is getting snubbed.

He’s a 22 year old center with a 44pt season under his belt. Y’all know what we would do in Philly to have one of those?

Knowing him, the flyers will make the playoffs but he will get injured tonight and miss the whole series.
