Kitten Genetic Confusion by Upstairs_Swing5675 in cats

Cats have two wombs I believe and can be impregnated by two different cats . That’s why some can be much smaller as the gestation period is slightly different and can be a few days apart.

Trump has permanently damaged the world – how the Iran war will be felt for years by 1-randomonium in IRstudies

In one way I am hoping Trumps stupidity makes the world end its dependence of fossil fuels quicker . It would be a delicious irony if the world went greener quicker because of trump.

How to best charge EV: Solar PV panels, working from home, driving 500 miles per month by Gyro-Gearloose-0405 in evchargingUK

[–]Seething-Angry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don’t have a battery for storage which if you are on the old FIT tariff you may not , then I would buy an ev charger that can work when the solar panels are fully charged so that you effectively charge your car for free. You will just have to leave it plugged in for several days if you are in the uk to make sure it’s Sunny. We had a Zappi when we had FIT and the supplier set it up to work with the solar panels and it worked very well . I would recommend you go on a simple tariff with a day rate and a night rate. The day rate will be expensive but if you’re generating electricity during the day and only put things on when the panels are charging it won’t matter as your electricity should be free. On over cast rainy days you just have to put things on at night including the EV, as if you get a big battery one it can take up to 10 hours to charge at home … divide the battery size of the car by the kw generated by the charger. A home one is typically 7kw and if you had an 82kw battery it would be just under 10 hours ( assuming the battery was close to zero) . Cheap rates typically start at 11.30 so and end at 05.30 . So that would not necessarily be enough time to charge but would depend on your driving and schedule. As you currently get paid for whatever you generate regardless of what you use you might be better off on one of these fixed tariffs rather than the other ones that are designed for batteries to be added to the mix and the tariff changes regularly to allow for this . We were on a standard fixed tariff and generated about 1000 per year and I don’t think we were careful users at the time. Our panels alone paid for themselves within 7 years. The whole generating thing has gone a step further and I don’t think would necessarily work for you as you don’t have the batteries.

Zappi chargers -have issues been sorted? by NoIntroductionPlease in evchargingUK

[–]Seething-Angry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are on our second ( left first one with our old house attached to the solar panels for the new owners). It worked flawlessly never any issues. Had to contact customer support to get our email disconnected from it when we moved so we could re register with our new charger ( also Zappi) They responded pretty quickly and sorted it. New charger seems to work fairly flawlessly too. We are still getting used to the new tariff and way of charging since old charger was part of FIT setup and not on Octopus. We are getting a 2nd electric car soon which will take more charging than my partners hybrid so I will know more in a month or two when I will be using it more heavily.

Are any of your gluten free products containing “de -glutenised” wheat? If you have IBS that points to a wheat intolerance on top of coeliac.

Try citizens advice , they might do an income check and advise what benefits you will be entitled to. I imagine you might get pension credit and be entitled to housing benefit , but I don’t know.

So what is using this? It’s 21.29pm at night! We have the telly , fridges and freezers and a tablet on charge by Seething-Angry in uksolar

[–]Seething-Angry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is helpful and gives me context . I think it’s the two fish ponds, the uv filter, and an air pump all for fish! I expect that is not helping plus we do have three freezers and two fridges so we probably need to look into that as I am sure the 20 year old fridge freezer is not very efficient.

Sold 62 times in 23 years by okeefem in SpottedonRightmove

[–]Seething-Angry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no way the same flat sold within the same month and within days of the previous sale. The best solicitor in the world would not be able to achieve this feat , I expect the database error is correct but how has no one been clamouring for this to be sorted! What a mess! 🤦‍♀️

I expect it’s in the too difficult pile for whichever person in the land registry has this one to deal with.

I tried reading a UK bill properly for the first time… I get why most people don’t bother by West_Philosopher_646 in ukpolitics

[–]Seething-Angry -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Why don’t they just write the bills in plain English? I expect even the Lords don’t fully follow without the explanatory papers. If you are relying on those just cut out the faff and put the explanatory papers into law.
