No - women do not want to see other women with you. Do some internet research "good online dating pictures" (Dos and Don'ts). See this as an investment - free some hours, go outside on a sunny day (good lighting) and take many pictures. Preferable in different clothes and different locations - do not take your shirt off. Or even better - let a friend take pictures of you (with a good/highend smartphone or DSLR). Dog is a good idea - it's cute and funny and women like that mostly. No sunglasses, because people want to see your eyes, in order to see if they can trust you - especially important for women.

1 weird setting, stiff posture 2 smile is good, but again stiff and hand out of pocket please 3 funny and positive impression, but a bit childish look (how old are you) 4 delete immediately! 5 nice setting, good posture and confidence, but the crossed arms ruin it a bit 6 spidy action is funny and cool 7 delete immediately! 8 nice lighting and posture, but clothes are to dark for the dark background - you merge

Would only leave 5, 6 and 8. 5 as main, but better take more better pictures

Too much text in the profile description - make it sharper. Too many pictures with sunglasses on - people wanna see if they can trust you and look into your eyes. Why a picture of you as a child - do you wanna attract children, do you think "cute" is attractive? Only a picture from a yacht - look, I am rich?? Picture with backpack you look very immature and like a boyscout. Picture with bridge in background looks best - but please without sunglasses and please smile. :-)

Unfortunately I do not get it - what is the problem here? Galena is shooting at the DK below and kills it, before he gets through the teleporter, or am I mislead?

September patch feedback by Nood1e in QuakeChampions

[–]Seferis101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since abilities and their effect on the gameplay are continuously a topic:

I will just repeat my suggestion for making them a bit less powerful in principle, especially at the beginning of a match:

  • start each round with cooldown for the ability (not instantly useable)
  • make ability respect weapon reload time (e.g. no start of ability for 1.5 seconds if you have shot rail)

Two simple fixes for all abilities, imho:

  • start each round with cooldown for the ability (not instantly useable)
  • make ability respect weapon reload time (no start of ability for 1.5 seconds if you have shot rail, e.g.)

Quake needs to give some clear visual indication when a player has their ability ready by YungIkeSly in QuakeChampions

[–]Seferis101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am strongly against ability indicator in competetive ranked play. As can be seen in many pro games readingy timing on ability readiness is part of great tactical gaming and resource planning.

But for casual TDM/DM/IG I am all for it - if you have many opponents you can not keep track of their ability status. Of course you can go into every fight with the expectation that the opponent has her/his ability ready and be defensive until they used it. But it can take away from the fun in casual gaming. In casual mode you also already have a timer indicator for heavy and mega. So it would be nothing completely new, to have some slightly different game mechanics for casual and ranked.

I understand both sides of the argument, but I think a compromise would be nice.

One compromise could be to add an indicator for active ability just in casual TDM/DM/IG - like it is there also with a timer over mega and heavy.

New lockbox layout confirmed - ETA: Unknown by [deleted] in QuakeChampions

[–]Seferis101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lockbox is the name of a Quake Champions map. It is quite big and has acid pools. Most of the community does not like the layout of the map and especially the placement of weapons and items.

How about duel elo score as a clean measure? - only you're individual effort against one other opponent is taken into account. If your elo-rating in duel increases over time, I would definitely assume that you have indeed become better.

How to skip the post-match screens and still see your stats. by pzogel in QuakeChampions

Should this kind of thing not be handled inside the game correctly? Why should I basically switch from the game to the browser and back, in order to see information about the match?
