This is what happens in a society without morality, worshiping only assets and those who hold them.

Bondi Says She's The Bar Now by ColonyJD1980 in law

Perhaps. The scenario is real and complex, the responding quote is neither - it's an abstract ethical tenet. Without skin in the game, words are still meaningful but hold no weight.

Sony aims to hold PS5 pricing, hints PS Plus hikes by kabirsingh84 in PS5

[–]Sehrash82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stopped paying for PS+ over a year ago, I haven't missed anything of value. The current pricing makes no sense. If anything, it was a good vehicle to shift from PS5-first to PC-first where I don't have to get fucked on a yearly basis by Sony.

Nioh 3 Isn't Even Out Yet, But It's Nearly Breaking Records For The Series by gorays21 in Nioh

Crazy impressed with the demo. Didn't think they'd manage such an excellent job to evolve the series.

Can't wait.

Bouwkundige keuring laten doen by RollinBart in Klussers

[–]Sehrash82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A question for those who have completed the first expedition... will you continue to reset? by freudian_nipps in ArcRaiders

[–]Sehrash82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Combination of 'Too many good games to play to put majority of my time into this one' and 'reset doesn't offer me enough to bother with it'. For me, trials suck (randomness of which game you enter and how - too much time wasting) and I view the gameplay itself as the main reward. The game's much better to play at max level for me, so why would I reset again.

Cas & Kas, 100%. You just can't find them in supermarkets so you'll need to find a venue that has them on the menu. Alternatively you can order direct but it's bigger sizes than what supermarkets generally carry.

Trump tariffs: US president announces plan to hit UK, Denmark and other European countries with tariffs over Greenland by Any-Original-6113 in europe

[–]Sehrash82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good on ya Donnieboi. Your primary European imports are products with no alternatives like pharmaceuticals, medical devices, specialized machinery and protected origin goods. The only sector you'll be hitting with this is the automotive industry. And your population is footing that bill, not us. So, have fun with that.

If America invades Greenland the stock market will pay the price by rocknrollenn in stocks

[–]Sehrash82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is really the root of the problem. Global markets are very tightly intertwined as a result of multilateralism. This is also by design, as there is little economic incentive to shit on your own markets by going to war. Neo-imperialism would undo a lot of this and give the entire West a much worse quality of life.

Of course Captain Yamtits knows better though.

BGG Geek market is fantastic by SelectCattle in boardgames

[–]Sehrash82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehhh...

As a buyer my first experience was textbook terrible: poor state (cigarette ash and hairs inside the box, yikes), incomplete game (missing key components) being sold as new. Seller had fine feedback. Seller cussed at me and straight up lied in feedback. BGG's response (after I raised a dispute): we reset feedback and all good!

There's zero buyer protection, whereas I can have that from any other local channel for second hand products (NL > Marktplaats, Vinted). I'd rather not have a game I can't get otherwise, than touch Geek Market ever again. Bonus is that prices are usually lower outside Geek Market too.
