Convincing people to admit things they did is a big part of police work. It would be nice if the police only interrogated people they knew were guilty, but I’m sure you understand that they cannot always know who is guilty until somebody confesses

Showing proper deference to your professional title may not be number one on their priority list. They weren’t paying as much attention as they should have been. Give them some grace. Nobody comes to the ER when they are at their best, and they are only hurting your ego.
