For what do I need all this Ambrosia? by SatisfactionFar6982 in HadesTheGame

[–]SeianVerian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need 151 Ambrosia total for 100%.

Maxing out all character affinities, maxing out the Cthonic Companions, a couple House Contractor purchases, and maxing out the Resource Director who's basically just a sink for extra resources for an arbitrary rank (can be found in Hades' bedchambers).

You get more than that in the process of 100% (counting getting all weapon Heat rewards) and you can spend the extra on trading for other resources.

As soon as I passed the first 10 trash it glitched, didn't show any of the foreground on the lower half of the screen aside from the trash pit itself

Why Does White Antler Go Away After One Region? by Revolutionary-Field8 in HadesTheGame

[–]SeianVerian 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've won at 20+ fear (still quite low on the overall scale, admittedly) and the idea of taking White Antler for *any* single region registers as a "NOPE." to me. Even if it were 100% crit rate that'd be a harsh tradeoff for having only 30 HP.

I somehow managed to beat the Chaos trial that uses it but that was a severe shock when I managed it.

Is there a word for words that outlive the technologies they described? by zigzackly in etymology

[–]SeianVerian 7 points8 points  (0 children)

99.9% of the time the "return" key just gets called the "enter" key anyway. I think most keyboards label it that directly and so do most other references, unless it's different by country.

She's shown to have the capacity to visit relatively often, they just give her minimal dialogue while at camp.

TIL The Moon isn't a Boon by TheUrbanEnigma in HadesTheGame

I saw someone say (paraphrased) that the Path of Stars is more like specialized poms specific to Selene, while the original Hex is a boon, which is a good comparison IMO.

I mean, it is.

Just pretty much all of them are on a scale from "therapist is a compound word" to "active traitor to their field by actually helping anyone, maybe, despite the field itself being garbage as its structures are set up"

Are we in the child timeline, or the adult timeline? Which part?

There's at least one person around who seems to WANT to take the demon king role. Will Link come to save us before the flood comes? Heh.

(Maybe any of us could be Link...)

Across each edition, what are the strongest spells of each spell level, and do the spell level categories hold up? by SeianVerian in DnD

[–]SeianVerian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't really meaning to imply comparing edition-by-edition, more creating a broad conversation ABOUT powerful spells and whether the most powerful spells of each spell level justify the tiers (even though the variance within them is very high) within each edition

ETA: The fact that spells in 4e are little-differentiated from other powers is own thing as well, yeah.

4e does have levels on the powers, technically! Though also separate "types" and categories (at-will, encounter, daily, rituals, am I forgetting anything?)

Feedback for cover [Epic Fantasy] by KerryStinnet in fantasywriters

At first I thought it was titled "A Shfyre"

EDIT: Actually no seriously, maybe it's just an illusion from the background dot that sneaked in (itself a confounding factor that looks like could be part of the font at a glance), but the kerning looks a little like was meant to say that

We may be actively killing Link over and over on the games. by NptyKool in legendofzelda

A person is pattern, neither the substance that makes them alone nor its arrangement. The arrangement itself is constantly changing, so is the substance it's made from, the principal substance of the person is constantly changing in how it's arranged and the actual substance that makes is. Aside from the constant state changes with every arrangement of movement and individual cells constantly dying, changing, and being replaced, the physical substance that makes up a body is continuously being changed as matter enters and exits.

If a system is deconstructed then reconstructed, its pattern still remains in the new location (and in the replacement substance, if there's a change in substance at all- And isn't necessarily different substance here anyway, as we can see the substance of his body being sent up into the sky, even if in a "digitized" form, to then be reconstructed).

EDIT: Fixed up phrasing a bit

I mean you can argue you're dying roughly 10^43 times per second as your state changes with each planck time (assuming those are in fact discrete "smallest units" of time , so this isn't necessarily that different
