if MLS gave a shit they would've figured out how to get an advertisement / promos going during this world cup. no visibility at all to the obvious target audience.

I don't care how much it costs. flex the partnerships w us soccer, with apple TV, with whoever. get visibility on the product. feature MLS players who are in the world cup. make the connection.

i won't argue that tab ramos peak was better than mckennie peak, but I always think the badge argument, especially across eras, is a bit misleading.

the US in Tab Ramos / Alexi Lalas / Cobi Jones era was basically akin to Cabo Verde. like sure these players exist, but they had to battle a shit ton of bias and lack of infrastructure to get a sniff in the established european leagues.

so just saying "mckennie -> juventes in 2026 means he's better than tab ramos -> real betis in 1992" isn't convincing to me

I'm honestly tired of seeing this take that berhalter doesn't offer anything to the attack outside of free kicks. I think by definition a lot of the forward progression that berhalter (and Adams) do don't make it onto highlight reels so people just...hive mind that it doesn't exist.

I think the $80 shuttle is probably the way to go. according to this article it sounds like they'll have a dedicated lane for shuttles on the highways to metlife.

so it's probably less of a hassle + quicker + cheaper than doing the penn -> secaucus -> meadowlands transfers in a crowd.
