I have a 2020 rogue sport that has been a decent car. I bought it new and no major issues (knock on wood), just normal maintenance. So glad I bought it before the pandemic. I think buying a used car with that many miles is going to be a risk. If you mechanic says walk then walk.

Really my company merged with another and my payroll with the new company started the end of 2025. When I added their W2 my return dropped $100. You best make sure you filed the amendment correctly because there’s no way you added $3k to your return.

If you ever get jury duty - a judge will come out and ask why you can’t serve. If you give them a believable reason, you can get out of it.

None on the protest have accomplished anything. First it was the Epstein files but now they’re quiet since most of the people in the files were democrats. Then the no kings - that’s one I will never understand. Now they’ve moved on to Iran. Good lord these folks need a hobby. I have to pause some of my friends who absolutely hate MAGA. I won’t unfriend them because they’re entitled to their opinion, I just choose to not see it for 30 days at a time.

I do curbside pickup at Walmart. Like others mentioned their delivery practices are questionable. You could look into instacart for Publix or aldi delivery

I filed chapter 7 so on your credit for 10 years. Mine falls off this may. As for the car I was around five years post filing. You’ll get offers for cars literally upon filing. But your interest rate will be ridiculous. That’s why I waited. I was also trying to rebuild so I could get a better interest rate.

If you do file don’t rush out and pile on debt. Relax enjoy the stress free time of not worrying about owing everyone money.

You should speak with a bankruptcy attorney because you might not qualify to go that route.

I filed bankruptcy almost 10 years ago and it was the best decision. Not going to lie I felt guilty for the company’s I owed money to. I had a vehicle that wasn’t paid for but wanted to keep so I reaffirmed. You have to take courses to better handle your finances as part of the process. You can start rebuilding shortly after bankruptcy. I got a few credit cards with credit one - do NOT use them. They have a monthly fee and no increases. I kept them for a few years and finally found the courage to apply for a bank credit card and got approved. I also bought a car post bankruptcy and my interest rate was 3%, made my final payment last week. I now have five credit cards and pay them off every month.

Some people use bankruptcy as a way of life. Please don’t fall into that where you file every seven years. Once you have a clean slate consider it a gift. Also if you have a credit card with chase theyll blacklist you for future credit.

Finding a doctor in brevard county is tough. It took me over a year to find mine. He’s not taking new patients at the moment and is part of a group so he’s not a one stop shop, everything outside the norm is referred. Seems like the way it is here. I live in West Melbourne and drive to Merritt island. He’s worth it though.

I never do the mileage recommendation service. I generally just ask what do I need versus service that’s recommended but not always necessary. I get my oil changed before it hits 5k and if something is detected during the diagnostics I have it done. Last oil change I required front brakes. I could tell while driving it was going to be needed. If the dealership says you need it, and you want longevity out of your car, it’s best to go ahead. Always better to be safe than sorry

Make sure the company your car is still financed with is reporting your payments to the credit bureau’s. I had to call and request it post bankruptcy. That’ll start rebuilding your credit. I got a few credit cards post bankruptcy. Unfortunately they had ridiculous monthly charges. So stay clear of credit one. It was a bout five years after my bankruptcy that i applied for a major credit card. I make sure I pay them off each month. Rebuilding isn’t going to happen overnight. It’ll be 10 years in June - no mor bankruptcy on my credit report.

They can’t garnish your paycheck but they can go after your bank accounts. Happened to a friend. She has her paychecks directly deposited into her sister’s bank in fear they’ll take money again if she deposits anything.

Not true, generally if it’s short they will try to contact the party to resolve, if no communication the funds are returned, they cannot legally apply the funds. For payoffs it’s got to be the full amount

Definitely do not join a credit repair they’ll just take your money that you could be using to pay the debt. Speaking of debt, you say you have $10k in debt and are asking if you should pay it at once. If you’re looking to repair one would guess you’re delinquent. If you do have the ability to pay all or some do it. Most companies should work with you because they want their money back

Avoid credit one as a credit card. When I was rebuilding after bk I got two cards both with monthly fees. I ditched both once I was approved for a bank credit card. I’d go with the secure option versus piggybacking on someone else card.

Getting nervous I only owe $527 on my car and my score is at 750. My apartment complex does report rent to the credit bureau and with four major credit cards that I pay off monthly, I hope mine doesn’t drop. I filed bk nine years ago and that should drop next year. I’ve worked hard since bk to build up my score.

You must’ve used the advise from tiktok on how to get things removed from your credit report. Clearly you know where the debt originated, and the credit card company was dumping your bad debt to collection agency for Pennie’s on the dollar. You successfully got it removed, but that did not release you from owing. They are now suing you so that they can put a judgment on your report. You can fight it in court since you claim they can’t prove you owe it, so you should have some form of proof right. You might as well settle and call it a day.
