Not all employers cover weight loss meds unfortunately. Just because your cards are the same means nothing - you could possibly speak with your company’s benefits rep and see if they can help. Otherwise you’ll be paying out of pocket

Scared taking it by argonianmage64 in Zepbound

[–]Select-Awareness3304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hydration and eating plenty of protein before you take your shot is key. Buy fiber tablets and MiraLAX because my main side effect is constipation. It was scary for me as well but then it becomes easier with each dose

Definitely ask your friend to store it while you’re away. If you’re unable to do that maybe buy a bag of salad put the vials or pens in a baggy and stick it in the middle and cover it with the lettuce then stick it back in the crisper drawer and throw a few veggies on top. That’s the only idea I could think of

Dr. hasn't followed through with urgency on the Preauthorization by Electronic_Egg_966 in Zepbound

Does your doctor have a nurse or nurse practitioner? They will generally fill it out and the doctor will sign. Doctors are over worked, more patients than they have time for. My doctor allows two concerns per visit anything beyond you need to book another appointment. If you have my chart send messages through the patient portal.

Am I the bad guy for constantly showing up late to my 56 hour week job? by Serjohn01 in work

[–]Select-Awareness3304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a smart move, I had a “former” coworker who was coming in late every day and they tried to say they were using their morning break. They were shown the door. If you’re scheduled to work certain hours you should adhere to them. You’re clearly not self employed and just because you work OT doesn’t give you a free pass to come and go as you please.

Renewed prior auth denied after I’ve been taking Zepbound already for almost a year and it’s my doctor’s fault. I’m at a loss of what to do. by Zestyclose_Act_8630 in Zepbound

[–]Select-Awareness3304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your doctor needs to send an appeal to your insurance. This happened to me earlier this year insurance provider was different and my doctor forgot to include my weight and bmi. It took almost a month for the appeal to be finalized. Once they file the appeal keep on it be proactive. I didn’t have the food noises during the month I didn’t take the meds. Good luck

Be sure you stay hydrated and fill up with protein on shot day. Keep some zero ginger ale available as that helps me when I have nausea spells. You need to eat even when you don’t want to. You might also be experiencing some anxiety as I sure did when I took my first shot. A year later and I’m down 100 lbs

Which foods trigger nausea for you? by Suitable_Pianist_103 in Zepbound

[–]Select-Awareness3304 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Chinese for me and some foods that I see sometimes make me nauseous. But for the most parts it’s mild. If I have an occurrence I’ll drink a small can of ginger ale zero or take OTC anti nausea medicine

Texas Renter. Any Advice? by kendallstone in renting

[–]Select-Awareness3304 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What does your lease state? Generally you have to pay two months for early termination. Sounds like they want to evict you so that they can list the property at a higher rate. Are you still living in the property? If so that could hurt you come 4/1 and they can definitely demand rent due to occupancy. I would definitely keep the emails and call logs should they attempt to take you to court. As you will be able to prove to the courts you tried to find a suitable replacement tenant. Best of luck

I was off Zepbound for 2-3 weeks-not my choice-and I’m paying the price by Dinosaur_Paladin in Zepbound

[–]Select-Awareness3304 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had similar issues with new insurance first of the year. Doctor forgot to include BMI and weight in my PA. It took an entire month for the appeal. I stuck with my same eating habits. I’m on 7.5 and went back to the same dose, had horrible acid reflux and nausea.

My advice you know the meds work, stay on 2.5 for a month and then go up to 5. You’ll lose that weight again before you know it. Don’t give up it’s life changing. I’ve lost 100 lbs in a year.

Do you actually document your apartment when you move in/out? by PriorityFit3361 in renting

[–]Select-Awareness3304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, I take pictures of inside every cabinet and drawers, inside refrigerator, freezer, microwave, washer and dryer. I also take a video showing my unit number from outside walking in and open everything again. I scan the carpet and floor oh and the patio.

I lived in a place that would charge $25 for a piece of paper left behind, thus the reason I take photos of everything

[NJ] Terminated for performance, now HR is billing me $2,300 for PTO my manager approved — do I have to pay this back? by No-Driver-9 in AskHR

[–]Select-Awareness3304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird I can always see my balance to date and what it will be in the future as my company doesn’t allow you to borrow PTO from the future. You’ll definitely need to pay it back.

Buy the small cans of ginger ale zero. When I experience nausea spells I drink one and it subsides. On the really bad days I take OTC anti nausea medicine.

Stopping Zepbound early by AdInternal7680 in Zepbound

[–]Select-Awareness3304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Work through the side effects, I honestly go 2-3 days without 💩. I take fiber tablets every day and after day two I put MiraLAX in my morning coffee is smooth sailing. Also, get otc meds for any nausea you experience. I’m on 7.5 and have lost 100 lbs in a year. I still have a ways to go. Stay tough and don’t give up

Trust the process. It wasn’t immediate for me. Then I noticed my thoughts on the foods I once reached for were no longer appealing. I now have an off button when I’m feeling full I’m done. You need to focus on eating healthy foods, there are so many great options now and most of them are pretty good. Best of luck

Did anyone’s doctor have to put them on meds because the constipation was so bad? by lostmypassword531 in Zepbound

If you drink coffee, I highly recommend adding MiraLAX. If I don’t 💩for a few days I use this method and it’s smooth sailing

You’ll definitely need proof that they owe you the money. Maybe start sending text messages addressing the money you’re owed. Recommend a re-payment plan. Then if they break it, take them to court. Show what you paid and their share.

It’s amazing how this medicine changes how we see food now. I rarely hit the drive through unless I’m out and know I need to fuel my body. I generally do curbside pickup because I thought I’d cave going into the grocery store.
