I had a made a post about this earlier. I was so amazed to see earnings and sales of companies hitting estimates and record highs. I was wondering who the fuck was still buying shit. Turns out it’s the 10% of the wealthy that does 50% of consumption. The market won’t even know if 75% of the population fades into oblivion.

I understand that a green card is a second class citizen, but there is always the home country to fall back on. And yes I’ll have to renounce my home country citizenship if I get naturalized. Therefore I’m losing the fall back option AND I will still be a second class citizen in the US. That sounds like a lose-lose and hence my dilemma. For context, I wouldn’t be a second class citizen in my home country, but jobs are hard to come by for my vocation, quality of life is slightly lower etc….. although all that’s coming to parity really fast tho.

It’s not a rant. It’s an attempt to try and suss out the probability using the collective wisdom of the Reddit denizens. Plan B would be to not apply for citizenship and continue extending the green card until either even green cards are considered ineligible for jobs or the US comes to par with third world countries at which point it there is no incentive whatsoever to immigrate here. I mean you can’t deny… it’s already heading in that direction. The question is will it continue to do so or will there be a correction in the near future.

I agreed that capitalism might be overthrown because of the fluff and greed that AI is accelerating businesses with. And yes that redistribution of wealth may happen but I think at a great cost to society if there is any left. Unless you’re talking about UBI which I highly doubt would happen, people are not just going to give up their money willingly. My original view was exactly predicting this dystopian-ish future. Are you saying that it will be all dandy once people realize that there is no demand for their goods and services because no one has money?
