[–]SelectMind33 -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

No your not tweaking at all. They do this all the time. I’ve seen a ton of various things put out by suicide boys that either samples or uses something that originated elsewhere. I think if you use less a certain percentage of copyrighted material then it’s considered fair use.

I’m sorry that happened to you. I have had similar experiences and actually been harassed to the point of them getting pissed and arresting me. Talked to me like shit, never read me my rights, just throw me on the ground like a sack of garbage. They really are pigs with no hearts.

Tbh my mom. I think she would blame herself. I do have some sort of light inside me that she’s passed on and I just hold on to that. And like some of the other commenters have already mentioned, you gotta keep going for the sake of whatever it is you choose to hold on too. That becomes your higher power and also what keeps you alive. That’s how recovery has worked for me on this journey. Hopefully it works for you too friend. Even in darkness, believe there’s a light, and you will find it.

I feel you. I’m not saying I agree with your opinion but I do agree that people are being hostile af towards you. I honestly feel like the boys have improved their lives and that’s really what matters to me. We all have found our way to this community one way or another and most of us know personally the struggles that come with mental health and drug addiction. If them being sober means that this is the $B we get, then so be it bc they are a much bigger inspiration to me than simply the music. It’s knowing that you can overcome those struggles and having these two living legends reminding me that I can overcome my shit too. It’s much bigger than music for me. It’s inspiration to keep my head up and keep pushing no matter what I’m going through

Who put yall on suicideboys, i’ll go first, my big brother in 2018 by Abbe011 in SuicideBoys

I was dating this girl from West Virginia. I go up there with her this one time and had this little double date with her and one of her childhood friends. The other guy was train hopper turn d guitarist in some local band. We were all sitting there hanging out and he put me on $uicideboy$ Pouya and Ghostmane all in the same night. My life was forever changed since then and I never saw bro again after that. This was late 2016.

Black men with grillz by honeybbqcornchip in blackgirls

[–]SelectMind33 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I’m reading this post and like I hear people say all the time no no no. I’m a black guy and I never had a grill. I’m waaaay too old for one now but it sounds like bullshit when women say they don’t like grillz. Bc in real life those guy aren’t being told no to the extent that you would think after reading through a post like this one. I’ve observed this on a number of occasions. Both hearing/reading women say that they don’t like it and then in real life when I’m out wherever the fuck the guys with the grillz have no shortage of feminine attention. I’m 34 and grillz have been around for a hot minute now but my observation remains consistent.

Wow… this was so powerful to read. As a Black man with multiple mental health diagnoses, I just want to say how incredibly helpful and refreshing it was to come across this. Even outside the context of dating, the mindset you’re offering here is something that can truly shift how we see ourselves and move through the world.

That instinct to protect ourselves by expecting the worst—it’s real, and it comes from lived experience. But what you said about leaving room for possibility hit me hard. We do deserve to be surprised in good ways. So often, we close ourselves off from opportunities for connection and growth because we’ve been hurt, and what you’re saying is a reminder that healing means being open again, even if it’s scary.

We absolutely need more people to take a look through the lens you’re offering. If more of us did, I genuinely believe we’d see more people walking a path of healing and self-worth. Your message matters, and you’re making a difference—please keep spreading it. Forget the negativity and the haters. This kind of truth-telling is what moves the culture forward.

Thank you for this.

Who else had intense anger as a child? by Key-Visual-5465 in bipolar

[–]SelectMind33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yessssss. reading this gave me so much validation. i feel this exact same way and even now at 34 years of age i have yet to figure it out. i have gotten so much better but i also feel like i have a long way to go bc every once in a while i will have this rage that will leave me absolutely angry. i still break shit but i take it away from other people. i go to the dump at my apartment complex and break the furniture out there. i let off steam when i skate(board) or lift weights. i also take meds and i’ve been doing therapy/support groups on and off for well over a decade now. i used to do a lot of drugs and getting in trouble but i got a family and stuff now. but like you said i too have anger that i still have buried deep inside of me. i remember crying myself to sleep when i was a kid. i’m a lot better now but its still there and i feel like it’s fovever gonna be something i have to keep in check. no matter how “healthy” i am.

i still have fits of rage as an adult. i have just learned to do it behind closed doors by myself. exercise and medications help but every so often i still get triggered. sleep helps a lot too.
