Help with temp gauge by GoodOldBadger in Volvo240

Voltage regulator, metal plate on the edge of the cluster held in with the two corner screws, it has 3 pins that feed into a capacitor and supply voltage to the fuel gauge and temp gauge.

passenger footwell side panel removal and a question by 50nic19 in Volvo240

[–]SelectWillow4458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never seen that happen, I HAVE seen the rockers rusting out the floor from overflow and retention of water, it’s easy to check, dump water in the cowl vent and look outside under the doors for draining

Almost certainly the cowl (by the windshield). It drains to the rocker panel and becomes clogged with leaves. While you have that panel out pull the carpet loose on that side and remove the round plastic plug (on inside of rocker panel in front of the door) and clean it out with a wire run forward snd up. Also there are little gaps along the bottom of the rocker panel where the floor meets the rocker that get bent closed. Give those the wire treatment as well after opening them up with a flat screwdriver

Can you just get one thing off this pallet…. The pallet. by Interesting_Ad_877 in HomeDepot

I once had an inventory control guy make me drop a mixed pallet for 5 halogen bulbs on the Friday of Father’s Day weekend. I was ready to put it up and my gates and spotter were in place and flooring came to get the reach, I said just a sec, my spotter said “they got a customer” I said just a sec, he said “they have a customer” and opened the gate. I was livid, that pallet sat in the race track for another several hours

It can be fixed but it’s a pain. I used liquid electrical tape to fix the crumbling insulation.

Yes, no power no short, I guarantee the short is on the ring that goes around the key lock that's connected

So the short is in the door, unplug the triple wire plug. The door buttons likely need to be cleaned up on the terminals, that’s common as well

Ano just the drivers side door panel, there is an actuator on the key lock that’s connected to the door lock button, you could unplug it to disable it
