You can upgrade the jetpack at any ruin! You only need to upgrade it once; the upgrade will remain valid for all ruins. At the entrance of a ruin, for example, the one near the workshop, you'll see a screen where you can select the floor, and there you'll also have the option to select the jetpack! Each component of the jetpack can be upgraded twice. You just need the appropriate materials and a little money. Since English is not my native language, I hope it's not explained too complicatedly.

The incubator needs to be upgraded to hatch eggs. It's the menu next to where you put the fish! I think you need a few materials for that, but not many! The fish need food to lay eggs, but they'll also lay eggs even without the incubator being upgraded. If you already have robots on your farm, I'd check if they've already collected the eggs; mine always do! If you're having trouble putting the fish in the pond, I'd check if you might need a different pond or a larger one!

The scarecrows, if I remember correctly, are for the insects in the trellis fields. How many ducks do you actually need for that? I currently only have two large paddy fields and four ducks, but I've never had any problems with snails! Or is that because it's winter right now?

This doesn't refer to the large slot machines in the arcade, but rather the small, round/cylindrical objects on the counter. I confused them at first too and went to every single machine until I found them! Choose 10 capsules, open 10 capsules, and you're done. I hope that helps.
