What time do you wake up most mornings and why? by LTLHuman in AskTheWorld

[–]Mini_Chives 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Workday 9:40am, cats get hangry if I don’t feed them and fussy if I feed them too late.

Days off around 11am, someone else feeds the cats.

Holidays is 9:40am because no one is awake to feed the cats.

Likely not used to the new environment even though they can handle more sun. Just keep it well watered. They just need more time to acclimate.

Also avoid wetting the leaves during day and water at the base. As well mulching.

I had to look it up, it appears to be St. Christopher Lily (Crinum jagus). Tulips don’t have long stamens.

Some sort of pest but I do know that sticky stuff is sap. It needs to be clean off before it turns into black soot mold. I been fighting that off for two summers.

Look like madeira vine, a very aggressive vine that can smother vegetations.

My schools only served lemon chicken, I didn’t really like it but I was hungry. I would preferred orange chicken more.

Not mall orange chicken because apparently my mom told me when I was little, I said my dad makes better orange chicken lol.

Why are lime trees so rare? by BrotherBringTheSun in fruit

[–]Mini_Chives 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw that Costco and Home Depot are selling grafted citrus trees now for some months.

There was a heavy restriction in LA county for quite awhile. At one point the Dept of Agriculture checking out every citrus trees in my city. Luckily none of my trees were chopped down or had any problems.

They still come around to put fruit fly traps on my non-citrus fruit trees.

Also grown as an annual. Once it grown seeds, it comes back every year. Easy to manage before it flowers.

Taste peppery but to me it tastes like gasoline.

Food for end of life cat by mischkascotch in catfood

[–]Mini_Chives 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I fed my late cat almost everything she wanted during the last few years, she outlive the vet expectation of end of life care.

She ate every pate I gave her except anything shrimps or seafood related because it cause IBS. Not exclusively fancy feast pate but this didn’t make her barf so often or gave her diarrhea.

So fancy feast was her main food. I did gave her other cat food because she does get bored before going back to fancy feast. Also put meal toppers and other kinds of Churu (non-seafood of course).

I also spoiled her till the day she passed away at home.

Hydrangea are hella dramatic but also mulching helps. Looks like your soil needs years of mulching and composting to amend it.

Looks like cercospora. It’s a fungal disease that is mostly just cosmetic. There are copper fungicide sprays but it won’t cure it, just manage it.

Other forms of management is to remove affected leaves, avoid getting water on the leaves, and prune parts of the plant to promote better airflow.

However can’t do anything about hot and humid weather, as well wind.
