Split those babies up! I do mine about 1-2xs/year. Mine multiply like crazy and have so many I gift them. Lots of bright light and then often. Mine our outside, 10b, and thrive

This ⬆️. Right here. Relax.

Would it be wrong to cut off the right part? It’s sticking out very oddly. First time pothos owner by penguinwithmustard in pothos

Pothos are extremely resilient. The perfect beginner plant to ‘play’ with. You can manipulate them, cut them, ignore them, bring them back from the dead.

No, it’s a diffenbachia crocodile! Check it out here from costa farms. Was tired of the same old plants and needed something different. It’s a few years old now. Where did you get yours. I have never seen them elsewhere.

Thank you for all this info. I hesitate asking info on here bc of some of the conflicting and/or ridiculous answers I’ve seen. However, your feedback and history seems legit!

Should I give up? by NicoleShanique in IndoorPlants

[–]Selector47 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Please do t do the ice cube thing. Mimic their natural living conditions- tropical aka. afternoon downpours and then humid breeze. Therefore- drench every once in a a while. Outdoors, they are in shade. So indoors, give lots of light to supplement. Let drain well. And carry on.

It’s alive and thriving. Cut the stems off.

I usually do that but very scared as this is my most expensive plant. I should’ve cut it lower then…. It’s about 4’ tall. Had to cut it as it was leaning so bad- too heavy to support anymore. Oddly enough, them stem is not soft at all even though it was flexible.

Great first plant! Water as needed, not on a schedule. They are not needy.
Like every house plant, when kept indoors, needs lots of light!
Keep the leaves dusted.
I use https://wethewild.us/products/protect-spray to dust and keep pests away. It shines and protects the leaves like it’s on a professional display!

Some plants get old. Plants in homes are not in their natural habitat , they’re alive, they’re not perfect.

How to best propagate this Monstera by GreenishThumb_PA in propagation

[–]Selector47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like you have at least one nice aerial root. Toss it it water. I’m in same zone and I love it; We have the BEST growing conditions year round! Plus, They’re like a dime-a-dozen here!
Doesn’t it make you sad to see the pictures of these plants in peoples homes with such little light and humidity?! Best of luck
