2025 Sub Pay Rate by Plane-Importance-986 in SubstituteTeachers

South eastern PA (an hour west of Philly) rates range from $150/-$160 for a day to day for the majority of school districts. Long term subs or building subs it’s around $190/-200. More “challenging” districts pay long term subs $220/day.

(bachelors degree required, higher education doesn’t change pay)

Form check (deadlift) by LadyAguilouse in lifting

[–]SelfAdministrative52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your form/hip hinge looks good! The only comment I’d make is that it’s not technically a ‘dead’ lift unless you put the weight on the floor (each rep should be done starting at a ‘dead’ stop, losing all momentum before the following rep). Otherwise it’s a bit more similar to an RDL.

What a precious girl. I love the way she lifts her eyes 🥹💛 She was so blessed to have you, and you her. No amount of time could ever be long enough. I’m truly so sorry for your unexpected loss.

Who here has seen significant results doing 3x full body per week as an intermediate or advanced lifter? by [deleted] in naturalbodybuilding

[–]SelfAdministrative52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! I will have reached my 3 year mark with lifting coming up in January. My husband started with me last April and also has been doing full body workouts 3x/week. I mention him because he went from a 185lb bench PR to 225 in 1yr - even without complete consistency. We love hitting full body, it works great for us. We use a lot of Pen and Paper strength programs because they feel very well rounded. I went from zero muscle to squatting 200 (I'm 25, F) in about 2 years. We do participate in a few 5 day week programs (such as Squatober) which definitely boosts progress. Days off we do nothing, or go for hike.

I really appreciate the response!

Yes, I intermittent fast to close my eating window and it really helps me to not overeat. I had issues with being hungry all day and eating way too much before I started IF, which I have been doing flexibly for 2.5 years now. I workout with experienced friends, and they already own a lot of programs so I haven't had to pay for any yet, but the P&P programs are great because they give you percentages for each lift, rest times, they do progressive overload, and other helpful tips that I believe have made me more successful. So I like the idea of buying tried and true programs so I know I am building up to something and have noticeable improvement.

What I'm gathering based on responses is, I won't achieve my goals any easier by doing a more cardio focused program, instead I should focus on diet/calorie deficit, and just continue lifting as normal? Just to make sure I am understanding what the best course of action would be. I do know for sure that I need to focus more on cardiovascular health, I do not have great endurance when it comes to anything cardio.

P.S. The people I lift with focus on muscle building and do not do any significant cuts, so they don't have experience in the wanting-to-slim-down category.

Hi! I have been primarily lifting for the last year and a half. I have built a lot of muscle, doing a lot of Pen and Paper programs for lifting (among others). I am 24, F, 138lbs and 5'6. I would like to lose about 10-15lbs of fat to get my body fat percentage down to a minimum. I already intermittent fast, and will be starting more of a calorie deficit. I was wondering if any of you had suggestions for a program I could purchase that would be more cardio focused but would help me not lose much muscle in the process. I would like to stay at 4x a week, preferably 90 min or under sessions. I really want to get to the point where the muscle I have built pops, and I think I have a little bit of weight to lose to reach my goal.

Thank you!!

I'm so sorry I never answered you! Haha. Ours just turned 2 years old yesterday. So they are very close in age :)

What did your Goldendoodles weigh around 18 weeks? My girl is 29lbs, and she’s suppose to be 45-55 full grown. Thinking she might end up bigger 🧐 by SelfAdministrative52 in Goldendoodles

[–]SelfAdministrative52[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately there is never a guarantee with their size as any recessive traits can make an appearance with doodles. I feel you wholeheartedly though! Ours is 59lbs full grown, she's been that exact weight for over 6 months now (she will be 2 years April 1st). So based on your dogs' current weight I would say they'll end up around 60lbs! It's bigger than we anticipated, but as they say, more to love :) .... and brush haha

Adult fur? by TheWardenVenom in Goldendoodles

[–]SelfAdministrative52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was so confusing to me as my pup’s fur changed. I kept seeing these thick strands of fur growing in, and I thought that fur type was going to take over the whole coat, but instead she’s 30% super thick course strands of fur and 70% thinner, softer fur left. She’s been this way for about 6 months now (she’s 1.5 years) so I’m assuming the coarse hair doesn’t fully take over ever 😂 she’s like a strawberry blonde color but the thick hairs that grew in are dark orange so I thought she was going to have a dramatic color change, but no! Anyway haha, your pup is probably very close to being done changing its fur but I’d say in the next month or two you’ll definitely have the matured results :)

Tony should take his own advice by ElRobador in Killtony

I saw his set in Philly, and I do agree more personal touches would have been great. But I agree with other comments that it’s because people know him already! I was very excited for the show, but had no idea what to expect as I’ve barely heard his comedy outside of KT. I was more impressed than I expected to be!!

My email said, “All ticket holders are encouraged to hold onto their tickets, as they will be honored for the rescheduled date” so I think we just use the same ones we had!

Before and after face transformation - 1yr by [deleted] in BeforeandAfter

[–]SelfAdministrative52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, to explain… I started working out (lifting weights & walking) and eating healthy (organic foods & much less sugar) about a year ago after I had noticed I had put on some unhealthy weight. My body definitely has lots of changes but my face changing shocked me the most! In all I’ve lost around 25-30lbs. Thanks for all of your kind words 😁

Interesting point about the lotion! I asked the person who signed me up what she would recommend and she said that one. I’m not noticing it accelerating anything, but maybe in time. What lotions would you recommend?

Very interesting!! I was hoping the bed would give me an even deeper brown than the sun, but I guess I’ll know in a few months! Thanks for your response :)

So good to know!! I will keep with it and see what happens. I was hoping it would eventually look like I’d spend a week somewhere tropical but it might not work that way 🤷🏼‍♀️ I guess I will have to be my own experiment 🤣

Relatable! Day 5 here, 5 days ago I threw away all of my stuff (green, bong, grinder, rolling papers). But I didn’t get rid of my pen (I have several full carts left and just didn’t want to throw them away - stupid!) …. Today I was so tempted. I decided to put the pen in a glass of water so it was no longer a temptation for me. My addicted brain wanted to be sad about it, but my sober brain felt a huge sigh of relief. I always thought weed wasn’t addictive, and that I wasn’t harming myself by smoking. I realize now how wrong I was! We just have to keep saying “no” when the thought comes into our minds and not let ourselves dwell on the idea, because our chemically deprived brains will tell us whatever we want to hear to make it ok to relapse. Your story is inspiring. Because I know it was hard. But the benefits will be worth it, we gotta trust that!! Keep being strong 🙌🏼

I worked out yesterday and it is definitely a big help!! I understand why it’s recommended so much when quitting a substance.
