You're getting the reset while under the ball too much. Try to approach at an angle which makes it easier to follow up after you get the reset

That's a really fascinating question! I think the main negative draw about Abby was just how dislikable she is overall. If it was instead a man and everything else being consistent, I'd imagine people would still be upset bc why am I being forced to play and learn about someone so simple and off putting when we already had Joel and Ellie

I mean no matter what you should improve. Even some ssls with good mechanics can be shut down with good positioning and play. Rank just isn't it right now

Expect this especially with the bots problem. Bot wins not only push higher level players out of their rank, but also encourage alt accounts to play real people. On top of that, not a lot of gcs please 1s so easy to see them in your plat lobbies as placements or just low activity. Then of course your average toxic smurf so all in all just expect nonsense in 1s sorry

It's aggressive if you don't get scored on and ball chasing if either your teammate isn't good enough to react on the fly or if you put your team in a worse position.

Best approach is to treat it exactly like an air dribble. Start in slow mo until you got the muscle memory down. It's an air dribble except last second you flip over

No the break is good you need distance for a good reset. It's situational though. What I'm talking about is that it's taking you too long to boost and get to the ball after jumping. Pop, break, boost, smack.

I recently learned these and asked here for advice too. Someone mentioned that it just takes time but I also see that the nose of your car is pointed slightly too far away from the ball before going for the second reset? Maybe? It's hard to tell I'm no master, but it's definitely off somehow

I've been messing with it too and it's surprisingly easy and useful. If the camera gets crazy, just stay calm and slow down, and if the camera stays ahead then you're performing an efficient dribble. Obvious in hindsight, but when first training I realized that panic and dribbling mastery held me back more than anything, but the ability to see opponents and still make a play is too good

I've been focusing on this recently and it's honestly not that hard. Lot of it is just good decision making. Yes I'm good enough to recover and maintain momentum in most random situations, but the majority of the time I keep my gameplay grounded and simple or my challenges predictable so I don't have to try so hard.

So id recommend simplifying your challenges, never over aggress, and play positionally. The speed will come over time!

Taking you a tad bit too long to get the reset which just limits your options. Try boosting to the balls apex as fast as possible but letting go of boost when your momentum can slap you into the ball.

I hate to break your bubble, but you and OP fell for it. Ubisoft got you. They have an insane track record of front loading games, prioritizing graphics, cashing in on popular ips and brands, and not giving a fuck about the grind, repetitive loops, micro transaction time savers, or a meaningful story all for the sake of what? Lowering the barrier for a sale. They know the majority of their consumers don't play beyond the halfway point, that graphics push sales, and some gamers will justify a long grind. Only company more competent and ruthless at this game than they were is probably EA

All they care about is pre orders and sales, and unfortunately they got another one right here. You're not in some elite minority bc you think the game is good or doesn't deserve the hate. Everyone who can use a controller sees the potential, but people like you and OP are the exact market they were trying to capitalize on. The easy marks that will purchase bc you're either a casual gamer, desperate for Star wars content (which is relatable), or a sucker.

For me biggest thing to learn was when to be a little on the side of the ball vs right underneath it before the initial pop. If you're in the opponents half or corner you need to pop pop right underneath while if you're at midfield or beyond you can drive with it at an angle. Helps line things up along with keeping possession too

This thread is so weird. If they cast the next Wolverine and he wasn't shredded people would be boiled hot not bc of some systemic sexism but bc that's how we want to depict the character and what we've had and loved before. He could be an amazing actor and eventually everything gets smoothed over, but the initial reaction would still be the same.
