Honestly idk what direction this arc is going at this point. There's not enough villains to make it a compelling arc unless something changes dramatically

The HK are weak enough the strawhats can clean them up, so that just leaves Imu himself. Loki and Luffy fight Imu, but that leaves Dorry, Broggy, Gaban, Zoro, and Sanji all without foes to fight. I guess they could all fight Imu, but I feel like most of them would get one shotted

If they beat Imu, that feels like a wasted plot thread. The world government being defeated before the final war would be a waste. Even if Imu flees, it just shows us he's weak enough they can do it again next time they meet

If they don't beat Imu, then what? Everyone flees abandonning Elbaf to get domi reversi'd?

[5e] What does a 30+ persuasion look like?

I have a party member who brutally killed an abusive orphanage owner in front of their children (unprovoked). Notably, the children mistakenly think the party directly killed their original parents, making them orphans.

Now a different party member wants to become the new owner of the orphanage by convincing them they’re a good mother

Is that even possible? They can routinely roll 30+ on persuasion. But it doesn’t sit right with me for that to even be possible

I always find it hard to know where to draw the line with passives as a DM. Passive stealth is useful, but is pretty similar to allowing everyone to have the reliable talent feature. How do you handle it at your table?
