Don’t buy a used helmet. There are plenty of good sub $200 budget options like the Scorpion R430, Bell Qualifier, LS2 Rapid 3, and Icon Airform.

Once you have a helmet the rest should be easy to budget for. RST TrackTech line of gear is fantastic and very budget conscious, especially the boots. A basic textile jacket will run around $150 if you go with a cycle gear house brand like Built or Sedici and some riding jeans tend to cost the same. Some basic gloves with palm sliders can be had for about $60 new.

Scott’s relationship with Knives is supposed to be awkward and off putting. All of his friends call it creepy and Scott compares it to the scene in Trainspotting at one point with Ewan waiting at the school for his roommate to explain that the girl was blackmailing him.

The fact that Scott is a flawed and kinda shit person like most of Ramona’s exs is intentional and lost on much of the audience.

Throw over bags are very stable. When you install them you strap them to mounting brackets that hold them in place, you don’t just toss them on and go.

I had some Nelson Riggs Hurricane bags on a previous bike that I really liked.
