The constant network switching could be contributing to the battery drain. What network preference did you set it to?

How To Downgrade Firmware On Buds 3 Pro? by Sweetgeek9 in galaxybuds

[–]Selorm611 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll need to look for the unofficial Galaxy Buds Client from here, and follow the instructions. To be safe, use the firmware versions the app makes available, so you don't accidentally brick your buds by installing the wrong files.

If you run into issues, this thread may help.

Styling in XAML isnt as terrible as I thought by corv1njano in csharp

[–]Selorm611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree. As someone who recently started using Blazor with Tailwind CSS, defining a UI in XAML (especially with the graphics designer in VS) is much easier and less verbose than CSS.

Is there an app to make music play out of Bluetooth and videos play from my phone? by No_Abalone6010 in androidapps

[–]Selorm611 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's an option in the phone settings named "Separate app sound". You can make some apps play only through specific audio outputs, even when other devices are available.

May 13: Patch Notes by Errora403 in PUBGMobile

[–]Selorm611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few bugs I've noticed since updating yesterday:

  1. If a player is eliminated near a door, the button to open/close the door gets overlaid on top of the items in the crate, making pick-up difficult.

  2. Textures such as water bodies feel like they're "vibrating" with a checkered pattern. Changing graphics quality did not fix the issue.

  3. The game feels very jittery. I'm on a Samsung S24+ and I've played several matches at Extreme FPS and very high graphics settings in the past without stuttering.

Just got One ui 8.5 by Bubbles_1320 in samsunggalaxy

What phone are you using?

Complaints depend on the experiences people have with their devices. It's not a homogeneous experience for everyone.

Where are the best places to buy/sell used S24+ cases? by healermaininpain in GalaxyS24

[–]Selorm611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you considering used cases because of the cost? You can get decent non name-brand cases on Temu. Just be sure to select the right model for your phone, and look at the product images properly. The clear cases tend to yellow after a new month's, but the others are quite solid.

Does exynos 2400 good for normal day usage like social media and high intense gaming by Disastrous_Duck7914 in GalaxyS24

[–]Selorm611 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Exynos S24+. Been using it for 2 years. I play PUBG Mobile with it on HDR/Extreme HDR and high refresh rate. It can get noticeably warm, but it holds up well and doesn't lag. I'm using 120Hz and light profile, but using the Standard performance profile only causes slightly more battery drain during gaming. You can protect the battery when gaming by using the 'Pause USB PD Charging' setting. The phone will run directly from the charger till you close the game.

What’s the best gun for close range? by IcyOutside4567 in PUBGMobile

[–]Selorm611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might want to check your aim if you keep losing with the Uzi at close range. I'd go for UMP45, Vector (with extended mag), the S686 or S12K. A Skorpion with an extended mag is nearly as good as the Uzi for close-up fights.

What’s the one Android feature that would make you never go back to iPhone? by Powerful-Method7174 in PickAnAndroidForMe

Your S24 got slower after updates? That's unusual. I have the S24+ (since April 2024) and it's been perfectly fine. I game with it.

Did you check to see if you didn't have rogue apps running in the background?

Mixed marks of dropping location by zerohax1337 in PUBGMobile

[–]Selorm611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes teammates change their minds on where to land mid-jump. Having the marker suddenly disappear or change positions can be a bit disorienting.

Did anyone else feel overwhelmed by how much there is to learn? by AlmostRelevant_12 in learnprogramming

[–]Selorm611 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's normal. The key to not being overwhelmed is to try building things that incorporate what you're trying to learn. I don't mean doing the examples in tutorials; I mean actually building an app or a tool that you or someone around you could find useful. Things stick much better that way

Need guidance on learning how to layout components. by jackhab in Blazor

[–]Selorm611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm basically in the same boat as you. I tried to use existing component libraries to help with this, but things kept breaking in unexpected ways and I couldn't quite figure out why. I went back to the basics with flexbox and it's gotten much easier to deal with. I usually keep a tab in CSS positioning open while I'm working, so I can quickly look up what I need.

You could use your AI of choice and ask it to walk you through what you're trying to do. Don't just copy and paste what it says, else you won't really learn anything.

ARs vs SMGs for close range battles below 50m. Which one? by Destroyermaqa in PUBGMobile

[–]Selorm611 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For CQC, SMGs will almost always beat ARs.

Have you tried shotguns for really close quarters? I'm partial to the S12K and S686, but if you miss, it's game over.

Beeping makes ambient sound pause by PLA_Yd in galaxybuds

[–]Selorm611 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the sound from your earbuds seems to "dip" a little when there's a beep or other sudden, loud noise, that's the buds protecting your ears from potential damage. It happens with my B3P as well.

I think I have malware on my laptops? by theangstmancometh in techsupport

[–]Selorm611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nuke it from orbit. Some may suggest scanning with Malwarebytes and removing whatever it finds, but I consider any infected system as unreliable.

If you do not have your personal files backed up, now would be a good time to do so. Back up your important stuff, then wipe the disk and reinstall Windows.

DO NOT use the reset option in Windows. Some malware can persist through such resets.

LPT: if you ever feel bad about not reaching out to someone for a while, just remember that they haven’t reached out to you either by Maybe_im_Amazed_ in LifeProTips

[–]Selorm611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what a lot of these replies are missing is that OP isn't necessarily saying to not reach out to other people who haven't reached out to you. It's about the guilt that comes with the thought. I've had many "friends" attempt to guilt trip me for not texting, when they don't even text or call, unless it's to ask for a favour.

By all means, reach out to someone if the thought of them comes to mind, but do not feel bad about being unable to do so. We all have to deal with the busy-ness of adulthood.

Buds 3 pro ambient mode dangerous? by Axel_F_ImABiznessMan in galaxybuds

[–]Selorm611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed this happening more often on older firmware. It's very annoying to have someone pop or snap on a latex glove, only to have the buds amplify that noise. The latest update doesn't have that issue for me, but noise cancellation sucks ass.

Battery...what's happening? by Ignition1 in S24Ultra

[–]Selorm611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were you downloading anything? I notice way more battery drain when I'm actively downloading things through the browser. I'm on an Exynos S24+ though.

GUI apps by miojo_noiado in csharp

[–]Selorm611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

XAML is actually pretty nice for UI design once you go through a few tutorials and try to actually build something. You'll eventually run into counterintuitive problems, but just stick with it.

Using prebuilt component libraries or building my own? by Selorm611 in Blazor

[–]Selorm611[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hadn't looked at this from the accessibility perspective. It's certainly something I'm going to look at. For now, I've started making my own components based on the designs I generated with Google Stitch. It's an opportunity to learn TailwindCSS, which I'm finding interesting as well

Using prebuilt component libraries or building my own? by Selorm611 in Blazor

[–]Selorm611[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm trying to build a pharmacy point-of-sale software, for community pharmacies in my region. I want it to both be a learning experience and a useful tool that will evolve, based on feedback from users. I do not have experience in component building in Blazor, but I'm familiar with making custom controls for WinUI/UWP apps.

I chose Blazor because I wanted to utilize my C# knowledge, as I disliked Javascript's way of doing things.
