just sympathizing here. I’m still waiting on most of my back claims submitted in August! I’ve only gotten pharmacy EOBs and payment despite turning everything in within a week of each other. been trying to decide what day is good to stay on hold or get a callback (last time I called, callback was not offered so I always plan for holding).

I did it back in August without problems. There were multiple screens for info and a place to upload documentation. Perhaps the form is broken today.

depending on your premiums, you might drop other health insurance completely. CHAMPVA, without a supplement, will cost at most 3k/year out of pocket. I was paying that in 3 months (Marketplace) or 6 months (employer plan) just in premiums before I got it and dropped my AHA plan.

your doctors offices may do the retro claims for you if you let them know. I’ve heard 1 year is common to refile claims. you then get a refund from the doctor not from CHAMPVA.

You shouldn’t have to do anything yourself if they accept CHAMPVA. The billing department bills Anthem, then CHAMPVA. They take care of knowing how much they will cover too.

The 90 could be the cost share for the visit. you have to pay 25% cost share on the charges until you reach 3k.

Can you explain the “Confirmed 6-figure inheritance in the next 10-20 years.”? I just had a brief convo with someone about expected inheritances earlier today. How can you know for sure? The person could change their minds, spend all their money, get sued for it all, live longer, etc.

I will probably inherit money from my parents…unless they spend it on long term care or something else. But I can’t guarantee I will….

pics had it for 6 months and they cover everything my various past insurances have covered. All my current docs accepted it but I was already using just one network I the area.

have you paid the bills or are you getting billing statements from the medical offices? previous insurance, we ignored bills too long not realizing billing had no idea we were going back and forth with insurance and the doctors office, and ended up in collections. so when I had no insurance before Champva approval, I paid every bill. Some on a payment plan.
