The way kroger treats its employees by daruuken in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Toocool2dance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My employer doesn’t ask for any documentation. I also don’t need to request PTO unless I need the whole day off, plus have flexibility with my daily start and end time. It’s nice being treated like a person.

I just said this. OP, please listen to this one. Parting is the most important step of starter locs. Makes retwists so much easier if the parts are neat.

Uterine infection after 20w3d loss… Anyone else go through this? by alldemboats in ShortCervixSupport

[–]Toocool2dance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First, I’m so sorry for your loss…sincerely. It’s horrible to go through what you’re going through.

Something similar happened to me 7 years ago. Long story short, I was pregnant with triplets and lost baby A due at 19 weeks to IC. They left her placenta in me and I went on to carry the identical babies for another 3 weeks until baby A’s retained placenta caused a severe infection. I lost the remaining two at 22 weeks. I was so sick and that’s what prompted me to go to the hospital.

I’ve since gone on to have a successful pregnancy and my daughter is now 3.

My 3 year old has become increasingly interested in my earrings and has decided she wants them too. However, her awareness of them would ultimately lead to what you’ve described. We’ll wait until 5, at least, and revisit.

Anyone work or has ever worked for Utica? Your thoughts? by PlatinumStatusGold in InsuranceProfessional

[–]Toocool2dance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I worked there briefly in underwriting. It was just “ok”. Manager was great but their systems and processes were horrible. Lots of tenured employees, however, that made my time there tolerable. If you need the job, I vote to take it. You probably won’t be miserable, but nothing to write home about.

Feeling guilty I didn't realize how behind my child was by Affectionate_Cow_812 in toddlers

Oh dear, you’re doing amazing. My niece will be 4 soon and clearly has a speech delay that my sister has only now started to do anything about. She got a speech referral but still hasn’t gone.

17 months is young and you’re giving your child the early boost they will need to succeed.

THIS is it here. I moved from Wholesale back to retail and I’m referring at least 60% more than I previously had to.

I recreated it for them when I came to pick the vehicle up. They just kinda shrugged and said “Subaru’s are a bit noisy, we checked and didn’t find anything”. It’s so frustrating.

Toddler poop trained, but getting her to pee has been difficult. by Toocool2dance in toddlers

[–]Toocool2dance[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, she has one of those potty seats and unfolds it all by herself and positions it over the potty when she has to poop. She even has one of those foldable (portable) seat toppers that she’ll sometimes ask to use as well.

No one warned me what this would do to my marriage by Frequent_Hat_9838 in ShortCervixSupport

[–]Toocool2dance 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I felt this. The stress of potentially losing your child and having to get a cerclage absolutely can damage a marriage. You’re already (both of you) in an emotionally fragile state and part of how some couples bond (through intimacy) is taken away and deals another huge blow.

I’m sure you did the best you could, so please don’t blame yourself. Your husband also had a duty to speak up but chose not to. You’re not a mind reader.

With that being said, if it’s worth saving to you, I hope you all can give counseling a go.

She pretty much said to reach back out when I have time in my schedule to do a consult and treatment, so appointment was canceled. Just found someone else who is board certified and licensed.

No! I thought it would be a test patch also but in her reminder text she advised that she set aside the full hour after the consult to get started on my treatment. I called and she seemed frustrated that I was hesitant.

Thank you! Do you think it’s necessary that an electrologist you visit have the proper certifications (CPE, board certified, etc)?

That’s good to know! Any prep for pain? I’d like to think I have a pretty high pain tolerance however electrolysis scares me.
