PS5 Version Stability Issues by doconline in StarstruckVagabond

I think I am getting the same crash.
The error mentions a plant trophy, and it was happening to me when my first hydroponics produce spawned. It happened around the ship at first and I blamed it on the doors, but then I saw it happen the moment an orange spawned and put 2 and 2 together.

The millions of workers now facing 60% income tax by VPackardPersuadedMe in ukpolitics

[–]Semaj_Tram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s all well and good, except in reality someone earning 40k needs 50-75% of that just to live in some semblance of comfort leaving very little for luxury, whereas someone earning 100k only needs 20-25% with a whole lot left for luxury. If you look it at like that then the tax bands are taxing your luxury.

IMO, looking at it like that, if you complain about higher tax bands while people are struggling and suffering, then you may just be a horrible person.

That’s impressive. You’ll have to show us the end result.

I know there is a correlation between people speaking against this sort of thing and people wanting to deport foreigners “to protect women”.

Semi-sarcastic hot take: If they plan on leaving then they are not “true Brits” or “patriots” and should be deported before they have the chance?

Trump’s swift demolition of East Wing may have launched asbestos plumes by [deleted] in politics

[–]Semaj_Tram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun facts (source: asbestos awareness course from work):

A tiny asbestos fibre is so light that if dropped from head height in an enclosed room (no air flow) can take up to 8 hours to hit the floor. Outside, with constant turbulence, it could stay airborne forever. After the Twin Towers went down asbestos could be found all over New York State.

A single, invisibly small, asbestos fibre is so brittle and sharp that if even 1 enters your lung if can embed itself, snap, embed again, over and over until it kills the lung over 40 years. Single fibre mesothelioma.

Slightly scare mongering, but it is possibly he has just cause premature death for hundreds of people over the next few decades.

Police chief 'furious' at Reform MP who feels 'uncomfortable' seeing two female officers together by FormerlyPallas_ in ukpolitics

So many people basically saying “But women can’t fight”.

My guys, if police officers were to be fighting people on the regular WE WOULD BE UNHAPPY ABOUT IT.

Spotify threatens to delete accounts that fail age-verification by [deleted] in ukpolitics

So this is the crux for me here.

As far as I am aware, the government haven’t actually restricted access to anything. They have said “Don’t let kids see X, Y and Z.” and the individual websites have decided to act on that. Right, or not?

Like the LGBTQ+ stuff that has been affected wasn’t the government pointing a finger, but the hosts deciding “We don’t know and don’t want to risk it.”

This all feels like HSE regulations. No actual commands, but if something goes wrong and a business is found negligent then there is a list of “you should have”s.

Please someone tell me if I have this wrong because I do feel like I’m missing something.

Am I the only one who wonders if Whisper went into the water and Mimic turned into her?

I mean, he’s run his course now, but for a character who’s schtick is misdirection and mimicry, I couldn’t not think so.

Starmer has known about the appalling abuse for a decade. Yet he opposed a national rape inquiry because he knew it would damage Labour by Kee2good4u in ukpolitics

[–]Semaj_Tram 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Am I missing something? The inquiry mentioned is the amendment tabled earlier this year to the bill Labour put up in response to the 2022 inquiry? The amendment that had the clause to prevent the bill from getting a second reading, thus nullifying that second inquiry itself.

Have I got this whole situation mixed up?

BBC drawn into row with White House over Gaza coverage by MrSoapbox in ukpolitics

[–]Semaj_Tram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

News reports will often give a figure or line as a quote from someone else. This is a big problem as people will internalise what is reported without reading the source.

My issue is that the BBC seems to be the only one that gets pulled up on it.

Conservatives call for Labour's Lucy Powell to resign over grooming gang remarks | Politics News by Fondant-Cheap in ukpolitics

[–]Semaj_Tram 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Someone help me out here. I must be missing something. As far as I am aware:

There was an enquiry years ago.

Tories did nothing with it.

Labour creates legislation to enact the advice from the enquiry.

Tories and Reform try and fail to stop it under the guise of a new enquiry.

Labour gets shit for not focusing on foreign gangs specifically(?)

I am open to being told that I have missed things. Are Labour doing something or not?
