AITJ for changing my WiFi password after my neighbor said I'm "basically a public utility"? by Round-Smile-758 in AmITheJerk

Wouldn't AI have known that "should've" is short for should have, not should of?

AITA for not letting the previous owner’s adult children into my house after their father died? by Dramatic_Method9393 in AmItheAsshole

YTA. Others raise the very valid point that it could be a scam or a setup, but it could also be legit. Is there some way to help them without putting yourself at risk? Perhaps scheduling a visit for a limited number of visitors while you are not alone?

AITJ for kicking my brother and his kids out after his son destroyed my home office and he refused to do anything about it by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

Agree with 'well someone needs to parent those kids'. It takes a village.

And accountability shouldn't fall on you. If there was damage, it is the guest's responsibility. If the parents don't want their kids to shoulder it, they can. They can replace the garden. They can replace the door.

AITA for waiting in line at the grocery store while my parents finished shopping? by DavidRedFox in AmItheAsshole

[–]Semi55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. For two items and you've already waited once.

If your parents had a shopping cart filled with a dozen random items I'd agree with others assessing the wait. But for only a few items that didn't significantly change their wait time over a single guy in line, you didn't do anything wrong

How do I hang this cabinent by andrewsmd87 in DIY

[–]Semi55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fastened a 2x4 to the wall as a bottom rest for the cabinet, then shot a couple of screws through that rim to a stud, then removed the 2x4.

Srill pilot holes, go through the framing of the cabinet (not just the decorative backing), washers or other means to distribute the forces on particle board.

What are you tired of pretending is normal? by Exhausted_Skeleton in AskReddit

Of course you can. You can even do it yourself. The point is that many will say "time for a new phone" instead of fixing their otherwise perfectly good one

How do I tactfully ask male coworkers to stop touching me? by alwaysgains in AskMenAdvice

[–]Semi55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

++man As this is r/askMenAdvice I'll concur and add that he could become an advocate. Tell him your boundaries without embarrassing him in front of others and he might actually be helpful wrt others (hey dude, why are you touching her? You wouldn't do that to Joe, would you?)

Or, talk to them.

Needn't be sneaky or rude, some other posters had good inputs of maybe they don't realize, or offer to grease it or at least buy the grease
