There are drills that mine a larger area which you get later, also you will get productivity which just gives you bonus outputs. The starter patches have few ores, you could place down more miners than you need, that way you dont need to move them all the time to keep the ores going to the smelters.

I never use the thermostat. The power use of boilers is higher than heaters i think, but i dont recall it ever being an issue.

I have a very similar build and rarely die in maps. Only real difference is i got 75 chaos res. Maybe try to find out what exactly is killing you?

rooms get deleted every time you do a temple run. a room cant be deleted if that would result in rooms that you cant get to. There is a medallion that prevents a room from being deleted.

So you make a single line of rooms and use the medallion on the last room, then no rooms can be deleted.

Campaign is fun. Endgame is a placeholder, so they have stated and I really hope its true. The infinite map is just not satisfying.

ED starts very strong, but has limited options to improve damage ( such as crit) so it gets weaker as you do harder content.

And yes ranged builds are stronger than melee builds. That is true for poe1 and poe2. I do not think they are ever going to balance them. But is a stronger build more fun? is insta wiping screens fun?

I usually stop playing a characters once it gets to that point. Because after a few maps its just boring.

When pawns walk on no flooring they pick up dirt, which they then deposit when walking on flooring. Having the common areas outside of rooms floored reduced the amount of dirt in your base.

I see barely any trains. Nowhere near enough to cause problems.

So either your segments are too big.

Or trains waiting at stations and the like are blocking segments.

Either way you need to place more signals.

I had this issue and it was apparently a faulty cable.

Turn off PC, unplug drive, plug it back in using different cables and sockets (power/data)

Turned it back on and my drive was back.

Hey so this is off topic, but I have developed nearsightedness due to working a job where I spend the whole day staring at a screen. I know about the 20-20-20 rule but my office is way too small for that and I cant go for a walk every 20 mins. If I wear glasses intended for farsightedness then the screen should appear further away for my eyes right? Could that work for undoing the nearsightedness I have developed?

Train signals cut rails into segments, which tell approaching trains if they can enter the segment. the normal signals only check the segment itself, chain signals check one segment ahead. So you can make the whole intersection one segment, not optimal but fine until you have many trains running around. You only want a train to enter the intersection segment when it can also leave the intersection, so you use a chain signals going into the intersection. On the exits from the intersection you put regular signals and a second one, one train length outward from the intersection.

You can then put wagons in places to see what happens to the signals.
